Why is horsehide better than steerhide?

I can why this character is banned. He's wrong. He never saw or touched a steerhide jacket like mine.

    Legendary USA not selling Schott?

This company is no good anymore. The owner flat out lies to customers. Saw an example of their work up close. Sloppy & slipshod, nothing like when Herman owned it. The seams are uneven and stitching doesn't line up. Doing a search on the owner, who uses a pseudonym, will tell you everything you...

Looking for my first Quality Motorcycle leather jacket Aero,Vanson,Schott

I would go used for Aero. The fqhh is unsurpassed imo, but never again will I count on them for ordering. Some years back, I ordered a Road King, or King of the Road, or whatever. They sent me a coat sized to replace the skin on my body. No kidding. In abject disgust, after 4 months of waiting...

What would you buy today (if money was no object)?

I don't know what's more embarrassing: that haircut, or the harness. Wotta waste.

Small headed vintage hats, are you out there?

Going out on a limb here- do you have any Henschel "skully" or "generation" caps? They're sometimes called spitfire, not really a fishermans. Like these. Thanx & good luck with your hat sale!

Can't say when it disappeared, but a great resource vintagemotorcyclejackets.com is gone. Does anyone know of a similar site? Thanks!

Why is horsehide better than steerhide?

Gotta weigh in here. I wore the hell out of a Wilson steerhide motorcycle jacket bought in '84 for years, and it improved in every way. I couldn't go anywhere without getting complimented on it. It was nothing more than a standard black motorcycle jacket, and I'm certain the dullards who sold it...

    Mystery Cap

Wow, thanks for the cool story Corky! I fondly recall hash pipes. Yeah Tango, it's cracked & frayed, but I still wear it. I love the simplicity. Ryan, thanks also for your info. I bought my partner a Henschel or two and they are fine hats. I'll probably be looking for another one of...

    Mystery Cap

Thanx for the tips guys. Tango Yankee (love the International Phonetics), I did that too... got one intrepid employee nosing around but not terribly hopeful. I figured this was the best places to hit up hardcore clothes-horses.

    Mystery Cap

Hey hat sleuths! I bought this about 30 yrs ago at a little shop called 'Hats in the Belfry' on the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. I'm wearing this to death and have never seen another like it though I have searched extensively. Any clues on the maker? This style (or close to it) has been called...
