    Here's my GW J-100. I believe this was the first one actually copied from the original. Not Shinki but Horween. It is a fantastic pattern. Great range of movement for such a close fitting jacket.

    How warm is the A2 and M422 / G1?

    I find my GW G-1 to be warmer on average than my much thicker leathered GW A-2. I think it's because of the closer fit of the G-1 pattern. Retains that warm air layer better than the more blousey A-2. Also the mouton collar does trap heat in quite well.

    No issues with the button holes on my A-1. If it fits correctly I don't see why there would be. The button holes on the fly of a pair of jeans goes through more stress and movement than a jacket front does. Especially these days with the tendency towards slimmer fitting jeans with lower rises.
