If only I were that lucky Twitch. I have been hunting for a nice one on ebay for two years and found nothing I like in my size. I've only gotten lucky on hat auctions twice - both felt open roads from the sixties. Worst part of it is, I used to wear a 7 3/8, all I could find were 7 1/4 or 7...- Not-Bogart13

I picked up a real cheap paper "straw" hat (please don't hit me) today. Mostly, I wanted a summer beater. Anyway, I got home and cut the tags off, and happened to look at them. Hat Bash
Hey there fellow Cow-poke! I've seen the pictures of the gray Camptown with the c-crown that was posted, and I thought it was pretty unique for a c-crown. It has class and character, plus a dash of adventure. For that, I would go for the c-crown in the Camptown. NB- Not-Bogart13

Oh. So that was you... too... as well... :rolleyes: Millers seem to have a strange variation in fit from one hat to another. When I bought this one, I was between a 7 3/8 and a 7 1/2, and I liked the fit - not loose, just snug enough to stay on in a hard breeze. I could still get away...- Not-Bogart13

Milan Straw 7 3/8
I've put my Miller Milan on the auction block. Comments on the Akubra Squatter
I've encountered a Squatter, but chose not to buy one. Not that it isn't a good hat (see Douglas), but I felt the crown was too low and the brim too wide. Unless you get lucky, it's too much work to make it look good. If you want a wide, bound brimmed Akubra, I recommend the Campdraft. You...- Not-Bogart13

Earp, if that's a 2 1/2" brim, then I'm guessing that the crown was probably no more than 5 1/2" before it was bashed. Brown Hat and Black band??
I used to have a Indy hat with a black ribbon. A Keppler. And I just saw a Stetson the other day that was lighter brown with a black ribbon. That was nice! I wish it was my size... it didn't have the slightest taper at all! NB- Not-Bogart13
