    I think it's probably based on what sells. Of course, since the wide binding is nearly impossible to find in a production hat these days, the numbers might be off. lol All I know is, "You can't find a hat like that around here," sounds like an endorsement to me.

    I'd have to agree with the wife on this one. The only time I go with khaki shirt and pants is when I'm wearing Indy Gear. And that's not very often. I try to make one or the other actually brown or olive. Even blue.

    The only button flies I've found besides jeans have been Indiana Jones pants, and custom jobs, like Magnoli. Edit/Addition; If messed-up zippers are a frequent problem for you, might I recommend buying better pants or considering a slightly tamer lifestyle.

    I believe you can safely use scotchguard, but I would try spraying the underside of the brim first and let it dry to see if there's a problem. There is also a similar spray available specifically for felt hats. It might be the same stuff. [huh]
