This is why, until Johnnyphi came along, I had abandoned my hopes of finding vintage lids. The only pay-off for hours and hours of my life hunting turned out to be little more than bad eye-strain. Most of the ones I do find quickly go beyond my price range.
When I saw it, my gut said Borsalino, but I could be wrong. I couldn't help but notice that the bow is on the wrong side, unless it was broadcast in mirror image.
I have to agree with Marc about the gloves. With the temps we've been seeing lately, the old man made a smart move.
Well, I don't even know if I can find the right ribbon, but in an ideal world; I'll shoot for an open 5 1/2"+ crown with a 2 5/8" bound brim. A big fat ribbon will call for the higher crown, I think. I'll play with a few bashes to find the hat's personality, but I'm leaning toward a c-crown...

If I had to choose right now, I'm not sure I could. I know it would be one of my Art Fawcetts, but I'd be torn between the nicest and the most practical. Could we make it 2 hats????

I think it's important to apply the "depends on the job" attitude for your entire onterview outfit. I mean, showing up in any suit can actually ruin your chances for some jobs. It's easy to forget that Home Depot has an interview process. A suit is only going to be helpful if the job is for...
