    Watch straps: leather or metal?

    Depends on the watch and circumstance I guess. I wear leather with dress watch and vintage, metal bracelets for sport and active wear. I have recently tried a Nato strap when a metal bracelet failed and was surprised how comfortable it was. The look took a bit of getting used to however.

    Nice KonTiki In an early 60's vein, here is a 1964 Heuer Carrera re-edition Strictly this is a homage watch as Heuer didn't issue this watch in 1964 anyway, but I couldn't afford a Heuer Daytona chronograph, or the car to go with it, so....

    Canvas awnings are great for keeping out the summer heat. Not uncommon on pre 1980's homes down under, but have fallen out of style since.
