Thanks mate, me too.
They made it right, and I think anyone considering buying one should take that into account and do in with the knowledge that they do seem to want to make it right in the end when things don't go according to plan.
Also, I was never rude, or ignorant in my communications...
Here are a couple of pics of the remade jacket. As I mentioned, aside from the shoulder issue that I think will hopefully get better as time goes on, I am very happy with the jacket for the price. The leather seems like good quality, and the hides seems much more even on this one than it was on...
UPDATE 3:
I received my replacement jacket today.
I did a quick look over it, and the leather is far better, no blemishes! The shoulder issue is still there, but I am hoping it will ease off with wear.
Ive asked them for a prepaid return shipping label to return to return the original as...
UPDATE 2:
I received an email from Shawn offering to remake the jacket, as they want to make it right.
I think this is a great solution, and have asked them for logistics of how to make it work.
As I have said, I honestly do believe in the service these guys offer, and it seems that so far...
UPDATE:
Shawn replied on Whatsapp, saying he would investigate. That was on June 24th, Monday just gone.
After following up again Wednesday and yesterday, I finally got a reply from Fargham, which said:
--------------
Thanks for your email with the reference images, regarding your concerns...
For sure they would have responded if it was a new order inquiry, and I wouldn't expect anything less.
Sounds good, didn't realise there was a holiday there. I was thinking I would give them till the end of this week and go from there.
Cheers mate
For anyone that had to resolve issues with Shawn and Fargham, how long did it take for them to respond to you?
I sent them emails right away on Thursday last week as soon as I opened my jacket, and have heard nothing back so far. I want to give them enough opportunity to respond and resolve...
This describes my thoughts perfectly. Thanks for articulating my thoughts better than I have been able to thus far. lol.
Hopefully I can get them to come to the table and make it right. Maybe someone in this thread can help me out in the event they take their time.
I emailed Shawn and Fargham...
Hey, trust me. It bothers me too. I am still hoping that Shawn will come to the table and do something to help compensate for the obvious lack of QC or disregard for the end user experience. Either of those is not OK with me either.
That said, I knew what I was getting into from the thread, and...
Whilst I understand exactly what you and others are saying, there is no option for jackets of this quality (which I understand is subjective, and open to interpretation), for the cost. It is soley going to be down to what each person's perception of cost vs value is.
If my jacket had arrived...
Ah, i see, that makes sense. Im less worried about the shoulder, as I think it will improve as the jacket wears. I can get my tailor to resolve that, and take in the waist which is a little boxy for my taste.
Unless they want me to return the jacket for a full refund, then I will have to make...
No, it's definitely a fashion style reproduction, far from authentic. I've had an authentic styled reproduction in the past and it was much bigger all round
Sounds good. I will see how it goes once the leather relaxes a bit. I understand what you mean for sure. I just don't have this issue with my nylon bomber.
I think the pictures are were taken with a shitty camera that blends the textures. The difference in my pictures is between the good back...
