Tourist cabins, auto and motor courts

Yeah, I've been up to my ears in outside projects, and haven't had time to check in; I've still got lots of photos on the old hard drive, so I'll try to get into the swing of posting images. :)

Ask a question, get an answer

Another question for the experts, and it's about another Naked City television series hat (like my last one)....this time it's Detective Adam Flint's (Paul Burke) lid. Can any of you sharp-eyed folks identify this hat by the inside label? I manages to get a couple of screenshots of the inside...

    Who wears/wore porkpies?

That's a beauty... I'm especially enamored of the tight crown ridge and the teardop shape; it looks a lot like the Naked City Franciscus hat I was looking for in another thread here on the forums.

    Who wears/wore porkpies?

I know this is a necro-post, but I just stumbled across this thread and I REALLY like this style of Pork...quikrick, can you tell me what brand this is?

Help with {date or identify} a hat please.....!

Thanks for all of the tips, videos, links, advice and opinions about the "Naked City" Franciscus hat, folks; the consensus is that it seems it's 'kinda like' a pork pie, but in the late 50's-early 60's Sinatra sort of style as was mentioned earlier. I've had some experience in reshaping my...

Help with {date or identify} a hat please.....!

Yeah, I'm really looking for a hat like Franciscus wears; most of the pork pies I'm seeing for sale are stingy brims of about 1.5" inches, but I want something that I can snap like his but still have that crown profile. I guess I could always reshape a 50s fedora with a 2 to 2.5" brim, if I can...

Help with {date or identify} a hat please.....!

Pork Pie it is... thanks for the info, folks. I guess in my mind I thought a pork pie was something different, without the ridged crown and a much shorter brim (kind of like Popeye Doyle's), but I'm happy to be corrected. :) Rob

Help with {date or identify} a hat please.....!

Yeah, that's a publicity shot from the pilot episode, if I'm not mistaken; he switched to a felt hat... I saw that after I posted the image, lol. Rob

Help with {date or identify} a hat please.....!

I know a little about hat styles, but this particular one alludes me: The hat worn by actor James Franciscus' character 'Jimmy Halloran' in Season One of the 1958-59 television series, "The Naked City". I've attached a few photos and screen shots showing various views, including a top view...
