Michael A, I dig the olive shoes you are wearing. Cork sole? This type of shiny plastic finished boots with cork or crepe sole are my favorite, so hard to come by on ebay. The go by brands like Bearfoot, HyTest & Outdoorsman. If you have a source of NOS ones like this let me know

FRYE boots sweats oil. I didn’t think this is possible, not that leather could not retain oil between the fibers, but that the oil manages to stay put until you wear the boots lol.

Question is, do these have Goodyear welt? The whole crepe sole looks glued on... but it's a heritage English shoe company so I trust the quality is good. I'm wearing a pair now, very very comfortable...

I'm no expert on this style, and in fact, I kinda hated it, until recently I started looking into McQueen's attires and noticed Bowie wore them in...
Some concert photo shows the russet Red Wing 877-ish boots but with more prominent heels, while these ones shows green, split moc toes

The velcro stuck to my...
Here I have a question for cowboy boots experts. In the world of work boots, the idea of a soft toe box is appealing. Now, i have not seen any cowboy boots with unstructured toe, mainly because it is technically difficult because of the fancy toe shapes in cowboy boots. Or, maybe some of them...
I wish the tristate area still has little workshops like this, none of the usual suspects care about touching leather anymore, no jackets, no shoes (for jackets, the Chinese, the Mexicans, the Polish, for shoes, the Italians, the Israelis, the Koreans, nobody cares).
