    Kreosote Boots

that’s sucks. I feel like you have to either be an ‘influencer’ with a voice so a maker will be on their p’s and q’s. Catch them early in their careers before they get swamped and ego because not giving a refund on one is bizarre if there is an another order. At least white kloud put a pause on...

    Brian the Underhanded Bootmaker

Digging that olive accent. The vamp reminds me of Lofgren and the toebox like clinch, it’s a good middle ground. I’m still trying to elevate my wardrobe to the level of my shinki boots. A good dark indigo denim with fade potential is next, maybe just say f it and get iron heart, yet many choices.

    Brian the Underhanded Bootmaker

It’s always good to know the cheaper alternatives out there and find a middle ground, or not. For a cheap hat I recommend thinsulate which is also good for gloves. I got that lil tip from the hilarious William Dafoe candid fit video. I’ll be remiss if I didn’t compliment your engineeer...

    Brian the Underhanded Bootmaker

For the sake of bootmaking, I hope Brian can get better and hone his craft more. I fear the LA hype machine may just be stifling another artists potential. For business side just be more upfront and practice the golden rule. Clinch are amazing. have about $1k in store credit in Stndard and...

    Brian the Underhanded Bootmaker

I agree that text isn’t the best in way of communication however it does have its advantages to keep things on record. In retrospect I should have done a lot better job of crossing the T’s and dotting the I’s. In the transaction. I was preciously nervously stoked to have a well fitting pair...

    Brian the Underhanded Bootmaker

He acted like it was mentioned before. I went through my email and it wasn't, which would've been the ideal time to mention it. For a second I thought that maybe he did mention it at Bootcamp. Yet I know one other fella that was as surprised of this extra charge as I was, and he flew from a...

    Brian the Underhanded Bootmaker

I can see that being the case with some custom cowboy boots, I saw Lee Miller sizing up Kirby Allison and it was very detailed extensive. In Brian's email he said the fitting would've been free if it was done in his workshop. I did get a free fitting from, the bootmaker from Nanucella. Very...

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

I just went down a rabbit hole and found vintage black gorilla fur coats, looking for gorilla leather coat, ala that Mr. Burns vest which I dare say has its versatile dark brown light brown charm. That is nice, Oh man I wonder if there is a thread on purchasing strategies for wardrobes. I feel...

    Minimalist Wardrobe

How I would like to have this. I am a cluttered mess and am not keen on selling stuff. I live in a small place and money isn't my strongest suit. I am sticking with a minimal set of pants 3 and mostly wearing brown denim I like the idea of working around fixed constraints. My wardrobe...

    Brian the Underhanded Bootmaker

Exactly I came in the situation thinking it was going to be same price that he quoted me on email which was the same price on his website of $2045.00. He did not mention the surcharge for being in BK before hand. I did not think it was $1000 for an MTO boot.

    Brian the Underhanded Bootmaker

The Underhanding Bootmaker First of all. I wasn’t going to do this but I feel this is a PSA for any boot connoisseurs. When writing this I have that cheated sting residue in my soul. I was warned and still didn’t listen. Bel Biv Devo - That bootmaker is poison. I was attracted to the photos...

Fixing asymmetrical collar on Real McCoy's leather jacket

Nice to get the science behind the unzipped theory and hanger choice. One leather jacket in, and I feel like Alice peeking down the rabbit hole. What is the answers to -Ideal leathers for different weathers -how specific leathers and colors grains from country to manufacturer and how it ages...

    Horsehide jacket care

I just learned a time honored bakery in my area closed its local operations since 1937. I ate possibly the last Sfogliatelle, I’ll have with my leather jacket on. No cream spilt but a memory was built in in retrospect

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Exchanging ideas without consorting to some parroted ignominies is what the internet is made to refine. I see your BK bound if I am ever around the area I might just take you up on that beer offer.
