What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Indeed, One, Two, Three is a Cold War screwball comedy, if such a thing exists. Most folks don't know about this movie. You're right, Cagney machine-guns Billy Wilder's and I.A.L. Diamond's script at light speed.

Some brandy while reading 1776 by David McCullough. The John Jacob Rye is all gone.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

An outstanding screwball movie. His Gal Friday is in a three-way tie for favorite high-speed dialogue movie, along with Libeled Lady and Arsenic and Old Lace. In a photo-finish, Friday wins by a "You've got the brains of a pancake!"

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Last night, Every Girl Should be Married (1948) with Cary Grant. Betsy Drake was third on the billing, after Franchot Tone and Diana Lynn; after filming she became Cary's wife. Sort of a screw-ball comedy, with exaggerated personality quirks and goofy situations. Lots of laughs and a couple of...

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Liked it a lot. Without being pejorative, the film was made by a fanboy, meant in the best sense. Several tips of the hat to the earlier movies. A noticeable focus on gripping visuals (Snoke's throne room, trails of crimson dust during the battle scene). It is consistent within the Lucas...

What was the last TV show you watched?

Three episodes of Longmire. Glad that they returned to solving a crime or mystery in an episode mode. Less of a soap opera, more of a cowboy detective show. Two episodes of The Crown. As noted above by Fading Fast, beautiful images with viewer manipulation. But, shucks, we really like it.

Home with this rotten flu, so I watched A Family Affair, the first in the Hardy family series, and Casino Royale. Further house cleaning for the dvd.

What Was The Last Radio Program You Heard?

The Fitch Bandwagon, with Phil Harris and Alice Faye. From December 15, 1946 (I think). Phil and Remley go Christmas shopping for FW Fitch and mix-ups lead to double-talk, one-liners, and wisecracks.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Watched the next movie on the list of Christmas movies we have to watch or we'll plummet into grinchiness, A Christmas Story.

    What are you listening to?

Not music, but poetry recited by the poet himself, Ogden Nash and "The Christmas that Almost Wasn't." Nearly 25 minutes with clever and shifting rhymes

What Was The Last Radio Program You Heard?

Working my way through Jonathan Thomas and His Christmas on the Moon series. It's in the same vein as The Cinnamon Bear. There's also something called Jump Jump and the Ice Queen, which I have not heard. All are syndicated to stations in 20-some odd chapters with instrumental intros and outros...

What Did You Drink Last Night?

Picked up Evan Williams spiked eggnog from Total Wine, and it is very good. I still like buying regular eggnog and oooomphhing it up myself. When younger, favorite additive was peppermint schnapps. Now brandy is the go-to.

Recently, the Pennsylvania spiked eggnog, and another spiked eggnog whose name I forget. Last night, Jim Beam neat whilst reading.
