Inky... How did it turn out? Were you able to get the wave?
Cherry Lips... Thank you. I was quite pleased with it.
Antje... Hehehe I would love to be the resident Ginger! :-D All I need it blue contacts and dancing shoes! :p
Goldwyn Girl... Thank you! I bet you can get your hair to do...
Try using a setting lotion on a slightly damp pincurl set. It *should* help their staying power. Spritzing hairspray after it is brushed out and styled is optional for style hold. The setting lotion will help with curl hold. Also make sure your hair is COMPLETELY dry from a wet or cold set when...
chanteuseCarey... Is there a photo of your hair posted somewhere? I find casual everyday 40's styles to be rather simple to do. It's just the setting that takes the longest amount of time.
Hahaha that is funny, I was all, "Hey, she says the same thing I do!" :p
Did you use any sort of setting lotion prior to your set? It looks like the pincurls take, but it doesn't seem as though they hold...?
Lillemor... Your hair is a lot longer than I expected!
Hela... You are too kind, thank you! I actually use plastic perming rods. They are easier for me and produce better results with my hair. I have yet to master the pincurl, so I just stick to the perm rods. Believe me, if I could do...
Smuts... Thanks so much. The circles under my eyes just make me look like I have a black eye! LOL
Lillemor... thank you. :) How long is your hair? My hair is all one length and just past my shoulders when un curled.
Antje... Thank you. No I haven't gotten a haircut... in fact, I was...
This was my hair today... Unfortunately I stayed in all day today so my hair didn't get to see the outside world! :( lol
Dirty mirror and I look like poop... Stress will do that to you. LOL
Fantastic!
I have my hair all one length, but now you have me wanting to add layers! :D Unfortunately due to my hair's texture, it wouldn't lay as nice and as smooth as yours does. That is the downfall of platinum hair... it tends to be terribly dry and cotton candy like. It doesn't help...
Interesting, the perming rods you described are exactly the ones I swear by! I like to use the smaller ones myself, but I wonder why your hair doesn't want to take as nicely as you would like it to. Don't get me wrong, I think your hair looks gorgeous, but I think you are looking for something a...
CrazyDaisy... What do you use to set your hair? Your hair looks extremely thick like mine and I SWEAR by plastic perming rods. I cold set them and sleep with them in my hair overnight. I have a tough head and I am a heavy sleeper so I have no problem with the rollers in my hair when sleeping. It...
You'll probably be happier with the 2nd day hair. I find that if I "over brush" my hair on the first day I end up with less curl and poof than I intended.
If you go to layout on your dashboard and then hit add gadget... it should give you the option for followers. This will show who is following you and have the "Follow Me" button attached to it. I believe it will anyway. Yes! More vintage friends!
EDIT: NVD I just figured out how to add your...
Fantastic!
I want to follow you but I don't know how. :( You don't have that neat "Follow Me" button on your blog. I can be found at http://vintagestarlet.blogspot.com/
I would like to suggest investing in different shaped brushes. They DO make a difference especially with eyeshadows and lip application. I like to use a slanted brush for my eyebrows. Blending brushes are a great help to get a flawless blend of shadows and highlights on the eyelids. When it...
