Who's your favorite "blues" guitar player? (dead or alive)

Sometime when y'all got time, check out TOMMY Johnson; no relation to ROBERT Johnson. Tommy comes from the same general area as Robert. He lived and died in around Crystal Springs, MS and is buried in Warm Springs Methodist Cemetery. He was a rambler, womanizer and alcoholic. He played Delta...

Who's your favorite "blues" guitar player? (dead or alive)

Was listening to some "older" stuff, but not "real" old, last night. One of which was Michael Bloomfield. What a player! Just a shame was taken from us way too soon.

The Attack on Pearl Harbor - December 7, 1941

My father was in his 2nd year at West Virginia University. While walking up the steps to his dorm someone said that Pearl Harbor had been bombed. His comment was, "where in the hell is Pearl Harbor". Well.... of course, he and the rest of the world soon knew. He enlisted as part of the United...

Just discovered and bought at Sam's Club a 1.75L French (or so they say) vodka. Don't have a clue how it's gonna taste but the price was right LOL, only $19. Think I'll try some in a Bloody Mary first before a vodka martini (stirred not shaken) However it may have actually been run thru an old...

    What Are You Reading

The Battle of Charleston (WV) & the Kanawha Valley Campaign of 1862 by Terry Lowery. Mr Lowery is a wonderful historian on the eastern theater of the Civil War. In particular western (West) Virginia. His book details Gen Albert Jenkins 1862 raid into western Virginia and planting the first...

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Thanks, I feel the same way exactly. I watched it all as it was happening and as difficult as it was then, don't have any desire to witness it all again. I've yet to get to Shanksville, but certainly would like to. Thanks.

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Trivial I reckon. But how come I seem to be seeing more nice, and some not so nice, western style hats with a squared off front brim? Rather than a nice rounded front, matching the rest of the hat. Makes me go hmmmmm. Could that be to set one's Bud Light on? :) Trivial, fo'sho but...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Nice! It's very, very similar to one I wear while mowing. I love it as it protects me from the sun. However after 3 or 4 seasons I've now sweated thru it and it's gonna have to be retired.
