I did think of combining deer with deer hair panel, only thing I am not sure if the hair would stay on like cow which is sturdy.
I found a red grizzly that was posted here, not sure if I remembered wrongly and it is this one or of another one was posted with black mouton
True indeed, I need to get the real grizzly and that would be fun in red leather with black mouton :)
I remember one was posted in a thread here, it looked really good! Let me look for it
I enjoy hearing all opinions, so don't worry :)
I don't tend to sell or give away jacket as most of them have taken quite a bit of thought or consideration. And this Thedi would be one of the last ones I would sell - hope I never have to. It comes back to the fact that I consider most of my...
You want a cow hair version or the more classic one?
You certainly do! No, it was owned by someone else, it seems to be 3 to 4 years old. The leather is very similar to my suburban, stiffer than the current batch.
I had been considering getting a cow-hair panel grizzly from Lost Worlds for quite a while... Reason I did not have one until now, is that I always have too many models I want to get made. Initially I had in mind of getting a black-on-black version. Clean, understated, with a nice contrast in...
Late to the party but I have to admit not liking that mini pocket either, sorry
I would put instead some sort of metal ornament. I think you design is very balanced and I would easily order it as is overall. But at the same I would say don't try too much for balance, the charm of a...
That coat looks amazing though! Very elegant!
Not everybody stares, but I catch a few doing so. I suspect that bright colour, with the leather sheen in motion is much more catchy than anything else I currently have... even the purple freewheelers.
As @Marc mndt said there is a range you have to be happy with. You can't get an exact colour, I suspect even Theo can't predict how it will look exactly in the end, He most likely uses his judgement as he goes.
From what I understand, you will be wearing this jacket almost daily, it will patina...
I will parrot @Carlos840 , you wouldn't get a better fit going custom. It looks amazing on you! Now you need another on in deerskin or red... your choice :D
How could you know which part to work on beforehand? If I undertand correctly, the treatment is adapted to the jacket part, i.e. this should be this done on the lower sleeve, this on the shoulder, etc...?
Yes shipping and customs makes things complicated, and there is also the fact that we don't buy these only for durability, but because something attracts us.
I generally try to be as objective as possible but I am still biased. Luckily, in this instance, I love both these makers for different...
If you want durability and water resistance, then Lost Worlds is where you should be looking. I was riding for several hours under a downpour and it kept me completely dry.
I have the veg tan buffalo version of the jacket you linked, this is how it looks after some good serious sun exposure...
