In the old days, S&W took the small grip adapter even further - it only filled the gap behind the trigger guard.
If you've never seen one, it's a three-piece device that goes behind both grip panels and the adapter attaches to the grip extensions. They were apparently made for both K and N...
Thanks! I've used T-Grips for years. The one on the M-15 is actually for a J-frame - the smaller ones seem to work best for me (I've also used medium frame adapters on large frame guns - the adapters for N-frame are too big for me).
Years ago I bought an early 1970s mint 2" S&W Model 15 - not even a line on the cylinder - but as much as I loved the gun, I could not bring myself to carry or shoot it. So a couple of years ago I let it go to collector, vowing to finding a shooter/replacement. Over the weekend, I finally...
It was filmed at MacDill AFB in Tampa as well. A lot of the flightline buildings in the movie were still there last time I went on base. I think there's some aerial footage of the Tampa Bay Area in the movie as well.
Being a little taller, but about the same build, I wear mostly A-2 jackets and echo the recommendations for US Wings - I have one each of their A-2 and G-1 jackets - good quality and fit me well (the G-1 is a trimmer fit than the A-2 in the same size). You also asked about Cooper A-2 jackets...
Why would I regret my "Member's Only" styled leather jacket and leather sport coat from the Chess King in the mall? It was the early '80s. In the mid-80s, my girlfriend wanted a "Top Gun" jacket so I cut a deal with a surplus store in Tampa that had a bunch of G-1s and bought one for me and...
My new Taylor's Leatherwear C-1 commercial pilot flight jacket in black "reindeer goatskin" (their term for waterproofed goat). First wearing and still a little stiff, but overall a pretty nice jacket.
I believe that the diamond liners were from the 1960s, but I'd need to dig thru the Stetson-dating threads to be sure. I'm sure it is early 1970s at the latest, but I think it's from the 60s.
Thanks for asking, but the hat has sold on eBay.
Today I am wearing my Cooper A-2 that I bought new about 1993 or 1994. It came with Velcro for a nametag, which I removed after a few years; but since you could still (sort of) see where the Velcro had been stitched, I decided to add a WW-II nametag. It was my one and only A-2 for many years...
