Since I haven't had any recent Banjo votes and since I plan to buy a Lawson in Loden at some point, I think I'm going to go with the Cattleman. A big thanks to Dr. Strange for even getting me to consider it. I am debating between Sand and Bran color. I love the Sand but worry it might be too...
Bob, that's quite the collection! And those are some good-looking hats! I do appreciate you posting as it is hard to find pics of hats being worn online. This makes it easier to picture what the hat would look like being worn.

It seems the EA has the best price on the Campdraft in Bluegrass Green, but since there is a three month wait on it, I may have to pass for now (Don't worry. I will revisit this hat later!).
So I have now ruled out the Traveller due to lack of support (which is surprising given the number of...
That hat looks great! I used to live in NYC, so I know what you are saying. Now that I live in Houston, I am not worried I would stick out in the crowd; just worried it wouldn't suit me. If I got a Cattleman, I would definitely get Sand. The Stockman is intriguing, but the lack of pictures...
I misunderstood. Since I am from Houston where big hats are common, I assumed you meant it was recommended for a place like Houston. I am trying to find more pictures of a Stockman, but I can't seem to find much. It also has a 3 month wait for Sand, and I don't love the fawn color in most of...

I think I will end up getting either a Lawson or a Banjo Paterson for the outback...
I am an attorney but am rarely in court and work in a casual dress law firm, so I have no qualms about dressing casually just like I would on the weekend.
Thanks for the advice. I was eyeing a Campdraft, and since I already got the Fed IV, I figured I would get a much more casual hat as an everyday beater. I also really like the outback style and want to satisfy my craving for an outback hat.
I am ok with a slight taper, but I am inexperienced with how to evaluate a taper. I just don't want one that is too pronounced. Do you know if the taper on any of these hats is more than a mere slight or minimal taper?
I am a size 59 by the way. Not sure a 58 would work.
This is my first post, so thanks in advance for your help and understanding for a newbie.
I just bought a Brown Fed IV, which is my first (non-baseball cap) hat. I now want to buy a sedond hat, which would be more of a casual, everyday hat (yes, I know the Fed IV is versatile). I have...
