I was playing guitar on the porch shading the low sun with my Boss Of The Gym and a neighbor walking by said "you got your Depeche Mode look going on". So we got the eighties covered today as well.
That crease looks great. Do you find westerns with more pliable felt to start with or do you just end up with a stiffer fedora when you're done with a conversion like this?
I can dig it. So is that bow three pieces of ribbon? Like an X and a loop over the middle? How close did you bring the hat ribbon to the bow? I have a thin ribbon job to do but it's my first and I only have one yard so I'm a little gun-shy.

A vintage Greek Borsalino arrived today. I gave it a camp fuel bath only to catch the sweat on the hat rack I was using to dry it. I popped about twenty stitches out of the unreeded sweatband.
The leather isn't dry or cracked and the holes are still there so I'm guessing the quickest path is...
