I've had 3 or 4 Aero CXL jackets. The texture and fit of each them was the proverbial mixed bag with pros and cons to each.
Most of the issues I've seen from photos posted here and my own experience is with the Sheene and Cafe Racer pattern. But at the same time I've seen really nice fitting...
Best I can tell from my limited tag research. Probably the last batch or two before they started adding handwarmer pockets and still were union made and all that.
I bought 2 of these. The other is a little longer. This one has better denim. No stains, rips, or fraying. Pretty much what...
Price cut to $290 ppff w/ Conus shipping. And in the spirit of starting the year off with some pay it forward, I'm going to donate about half the proceeds to St. Jude.
welcome buddy. You've got good taste. Lots of Cal fans on here and I bet James Dean has a lot to do with it. My wife actually did a painting of a famous James Dean photo but super imposed one my dogs on it LOL. It's in my avatar.
I'm selling a Cal jacket right now. I've been through a...
Quite shocking  LOL
Nah, it's just some piazza style string lights hanging from some steel cable that I ran across the patio. In the summer when I want to air some of the jackets out, I can hang about 3 on each side. Not quite old lady drying out her clothes on a clothes line, but...
Beautiful jacket. Is it dysfunctionally short? No, but you did ask for a longer length, so yes. The proportions seem off, almost kind of square. Could be it just need some breaking in to let it hang better and round off some, but the shorter length would drive me nuts, especially after you...
I bought one maybe about a year ago. Ebay measurements were way off and I had to return. I tried to sell here I think if you want to look up the old post. It was excellent, especially at the price. I reached out to the owners to date it and they were super friendly. Brought some sense of...
Going to move one of my Cals again. I keep doubling up on them and find myself always going back to the straight zip first. So this one is pretty redundant and I'm really, really trying to get the jacket count down to closer to 12 (LOL, yeah right).
I wrote about here when I first got it...
excellent. This is good. I'm doing some comparative math for my next jacket and what to ask for size wise. He did a good job on my Route 66, but this will be a new build, new leather, etc. etc. and I too also want a more relaxed fit. Not necessarily full blown layering because in Los Angeles...
Cal 6 panel padded??? never tried one on, but grail jacket for me. J100 deserves a spot. It's too iconic not to be. Brooks from the front might be my number 1 LOL. But I got no issues with your list either. All solid all around.
thanks. The body is about right. I could wear nice sweater with it and still be comfortable. But the sleeves are comical. I think the L part screwed me. They're 1 to 1.5 inches too long and the opening is just crazy. Popeye forearm type build : ) So I figured if I was going to shorten...
Tried to read up here for more info, but I'm drowning lol. You guys are amazing.
I bought this in 1992 at flea market. Based on what I picked up from this thread, made in 1984? I didn't think it was authentic navy issue because I remember it having a "russian" patch on one arm which i...
