Can the bottom few buttons do up? Or too tight there? It is a fabulous looking jacket, if it’s big enough for you. I have a large chest and lats, and always have issues with fit, specifically under the armpits.
When I received a sample of the aero goat last year it felt/looked/reacted like it was coated. Bulletprooof stuff. Is that right, is there a coating of some sort on it?
Buying Japanese, or any T-shirts aimed at the Asian market, is tough for guys with a big chest to waist drop. I’m a Brit living in Asia, and I end up with a limited imported selection of stuff (or buying when I go home), as my tops (and bottoms) all have to be tapered or they look awful.
Looked back through the thread and pleased to see I wasn’t the only one that missed the steer reference :D it looks like FQHH... I had samples of both sent to me and that doesn’t look like the steer sample (which didn’t look nice) and just like the amazing looking HH
Or perhaps I should know that such jackets are never done up to the top, and extra button flaps are purely decorative? Colour me confused. Was mainly just paying the jacket a compliment...
What a brilliant jacket! Somehow i’d never looked at the bootlegger before and thought “I must own that”, but with the modifications it looks a much more appealing item. What does it look like buttoned up at the top? I like the look of the extra flap on the collar- just curious if it’s also...
Length looks perfect in the back but an inch short in the front. What rise are those jeans? Perhaps that pair of jeans just don’t fit with that jacket.
Whilst it looks fine, the jacket doesn’t particularly flatter in those photos- the torso doesn’t appear as fitted as it might. Which isn’t the...
Looks perfect!
How did the back work out in the end, after the dilemma over sizing and the eventual taper you went with? I’d also love to see how the jacket has aged over the past 7 months, if you can share with us some pics. Thanks! And well done on you final jacket.
That’s cool, I don’t know that! Jacket looks brilliant zipped up, but just not quite right to me when it’s unzipped. Caught between crosszip styles and cafe racer style, unzipped it looks an awkward middle ground.
Between my own jackets and the fit jacket, I think I know what size I need, give or take half an inch. And after years of ignoring tag sizes due to vanity sizing from manufacturers, I'm not about to start caring about tag sizes now! 24.5-25" PtP and 19.25-20" should work for me. Waist opening...
I totally get the half inch deviation thing with leather, but 100% of those jackets fall outside that deviation. Maybe those sizes Aero provided are the 'intended' sizes for the jackets, but they always deviate to consistantly varying amounts? I have wondered how Aero and Thurston's could...
