My third Freewheelers Jacket - The Mulholland

I have a similar lining in my Brakeman (horsehide). It’s a fair 3-seasons lining, but I avoid wearing it when the temperatures rise above 20 Celsius.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Unlikely to need it much today (we’re near Glastonbury and it’s predicted to be around 30-31 Celsius), but: older faded sand cotton twill ‘Overall’ chore jacket by Old Town. This is longer in the torso and has more traditional styling than the Medway that I posted yesterday. Older pattern with...

    Oilskin coats

I have a Claybourn full (calf) length, oilskin riding coat. Picked up in Melbourne in the early ‘90s. It’s an older, more traditional coat than the Drizabone

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

‘Borough’ jacket by Old Town. Unlined, unstructured, 3-button, patch pocket pattern in chocolate brown twill. My least favourite of my OT jackets as it’s a more boxy design.

Very similar to John Chapman’s (and Dave Sheeley’s) French goatskin too.

While my favourite contract is the Perry Sportswear 23377, the best fitting jacket that I ever owned was a 27798 by Good Wear. A very stylish and forgiving contract. Lovely example, Brett.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Engineered (unlined, unstructured) jacket in beige/sand cotton twill by Old Town. This is an older jacket (older label and brass buttons) in a 4-button Edwardian style with a figured back, patch pockets. It’s no longer available, but it’s probably a forerunner of the current Marshalsea design.

    Deerskin jackets

As I posted earlier in the thread, I was really uncertain about deerskin, but I’m glad that I went searching, as my Freewheelers Journeyman in jet black deerskin is my favourite jacket (or coat, really). This is a stock image (plenty of them online) as it captures the sheen so well. This is a...

Very nice. If I didn’t have a couple of coats in similar styles I’d be interested.

The Real McCoy's Deerskin A1 jacket (sz 44)

No problem! Not in the market to buy either, but was very tempted despite having sworn off mil spec windcheaters! A lovely A-1, should sell quickly.
