Fuzzy hats are the best!
Here a couple of my recent pick ups.
Hard to date this one as it's missing any paper labels behind the sweat, but i'd guess 20's/30's.
The ribbon and brim binding have both seen better days but add a certain charm to the hat.
I will agree that some of my favorite bowlers that have been posted have been of Austrian/German make, MayserWegener's melone with mirrored liner and another I believe is labeled autocape which featured a liner that was a second shade of felt are both amazing.

I think of the ones I've posted only the one with "Dunlap Style" stamped on the sweatband is a true tall crowned derby. The others are like you said stiff felt top hats. They just share so much in common, I always just figured to include them here.
