Allow me to share my very first hand made fedora. Finding vintage in my size of 7-3/4 has been a challenge; so a while back I started buying some things I needed to make my own hats. See below the result of my first crack on the block.

If it were a hat that I could get a few hundred dollars for I might sell it; but knowing it was my Grand-dad's and that it isn't a hat that will likely sell for much, I'd probably keep it even if it didn't fit me. ;)
Nash, I don't know the color of the glass frame but Devcon 5 min. Epoxy, a 2 part product dries clear. Other brands I have used turn yellowish. I think your best result will be Devcon 5 minute and you might not even have a witness mark. Why risk misalignment by using bonding agents that take...

Anyway a gentleman Pm'd me and offered to buy the hat. It found a good home.
I got this pristine Borso last year and only wore it one time. The style is not me. The pug has 2 small stains on the side between the pleats that are barely noticeable and were there when I bought it. I would think will clean up fine but I didn't play with it; just wanted to be mentioning that...

Tonight I blocked my first crown. Set up with a 6 inch crown and looking toward a brim hopefully about 2 and 1/2 inch.
The block is close to that of the old #52 block. More to come....
