What is your favorite hat crease?
I am a fan of the porkpie / telescope crown style. I've seen the video (or similiar ones) using the dome-block method. It's okay to get started, but the result tends to be too round. I always pull them more into an oval by hand. This way I also get slightly falling slopes from the sides to back...- Steinbockhase

Is there some simple way to identify a Borsalino from short before and then after they left Alessandria? Maybe some major differences in look or wording of liner, sweatband or paper-label? Is it true they still have "Alessandria" printed on newer hats?- Steinbockhase

I agree. Sharp creases and folds in the felt might compromise the hat's mint condition, but fashion has it's toll. On the other hand, none of us collectors would wear one single hat long enough for real physical abration and damage to occur. Our biggest problem is probably just not getting a hat...- Steinbockhase

BTW: Who are the likely "forum competitors" on eBay.de (Germany)? I know @mayserwegener and I have already hiked up the price on at least one hat; a German Stetson Stratoliner.
