Nice looking lightweight suede jacket. I’m guessing it will be more than I’d be willing to pay for this sort of thing, but I am saving the pics to my 5* ideas folder for future reference.
Next Level have take the place that was held by Target for cheap slim t-shirts in a range of colors and styles.
I like either a pocket or a heathered texture so it doesn’t look like underwear.
Kuyigo and X-Ray are good for slim Henley shirts in long or short sleeves.
Those Chippewa service boots looks great. Having seen some recent picks of Brass Tokyo and Brian the Bootmaker doing resoles, I wish I’d hung on to my old pair of Wolverine 1000 mile boots and Redwing Gentleman’s Travelers.
I do look at some of the older Chippewa engineer boots that show up on...
I like Tellason pocket t’s.
3sixteen are also good but not really worth the additional cost.
For cheap, you can’t beat Next Level and CC Perfect on Amazon.
I’d love a thread in the outerwear section on ‘formal wear worn by people who also wear leather jackets’.
These days I don’t have as much interest in anything dressier than I post here, but when we stop wearing uniforms at work post-pandemic I’ll be back in sportscoats and ties...
For next winter I’d like to get a pair of jeans-cut (5 pocket) moleskins. The texture should contrast nicely with a leather jacket. Maybe some fine wale cords as well.
I have some black, white and brown denim, as well as blue. Patiently waiting for these olive whipcords in production, which should look really nice with brown leather:
Have you asked them for a refund, if it is not what you ordered? I had a similar issue. It took a little perseverance, but they did send a return postage label and full refund in the end.
Benzein just sent me a list of the leathers he has in stock right now. The Cloe horsebutts and Badalassis look beautiful, though it is hard to get a sense of how thick they are.
Hahah. Anchor yourself to the summit, my friend! Worst case scenario would be to buy a bunch of cheap jackets to fill the void while you wait - because you know that once that FL arrives it will be setting the benchmark you measure everything else to.
Thanks. Pretty sure I won't get an EEE fitting off the shelf from Japan. I have a pair of chunky Wesco engineer boots that are incredibly comfortable. Next-up I'd love to get something more sleek and refined like a Clinch, but that would fit my big old duck feet.
