    Looks like typical commercial M65. And as far as I know in early Vietnam war there were no longer M43, but used M51 (it's a slightly different jacket with diferent hood)))

    Agree. My first G-1 was Brill DSA 100-73-C-0035, it was cowhide quite heavy and squeaky, despite the tag 42 fit true 38 . It was C - serie... sold it.

    I read and sympathize freezing americans. Weather that you have now for us usual winter weather. Exactly one year ago in Moscow this day was -29.6 C (-21.28 F). If the wind and humidity add to this ...Cold for us too... But this year is very warm, there is no snow and only +3 C (37,4 F)...

    Absolutely agree. I had and have many M43 /51/65 jackets, they were all GI, and I saw many labels. One of my M65 also So-Sew. All exactly so - nothing to add to what was Peacoat said.

    I agree about bit small pockets, nevertheless I really like mine. It has bit relaxed fit compared to other my jackets, I can wear a sweater under it. And mine W&G has nice vintage look and patina. I will keep it)
