Here's one a bit different...one of the unlockable costumes in the new game "Super Mario Odyssey" has a pretty neat redskin B3 with russet trim! Mario clearly has good taste in his flying jackets...
Looking forward very much to receiving my first Eastman - a Star Sportswear A2 - from fellow member nick123! She's a beaut...hopefully it'll be a good fit too, fingers crossed. If not, there will soon be another beautiful A2 up for sale, and I'll be crying in a corner somewhere lamenting that...
You're spot on there. The difference in quality between the large and XL I ordered was very noticeable right out of the box, for no apparent reason. If I'd only ordered the XL, I wouldn't have been so positive about the jacket at all...much cheaper feeling Mouton collar, mismatched leather...
I'm no denim expert, but I'm pretty sure Cone Mills went bust about a decade ago...was this just some sort of continuation of that company that has now failed under new ownership? Clearly there's something not right with their model for the same brand to go belly up twice in ten years.
With the...
Okay, so here's the twist in this tale...
I got the XL today. The short answer, bizarrely, is that I think I am now going to hold onto my size Large, see how it goes for the next couple of months and if I still don't like it I will go ahead and sell it on.
A few things to note:
- For some...
The jacket runs slightly smaller than Aero's measurements provided on their website. If I were you, I would order both sizes and just see which one fits best - cloth jackets seem to behave very differently to leather and it seems to be impossible to get it spot on just from the measurements...
Very true Garry - it's a hunt that probably will never end! Although getting it right with my B6 has taught me at least that when you know it's a keeper, you 'just know'.
Would be very interested in measurements on that N1 for future reference, same goes for the Pike Bros C2! :)
Yeah, it's frustrating really. I've ordered an XL which should arrive soon, so hopefully it'll be a better fit and I can offload the size large. Sadly you end up making these kinds of mistakes with clothes and often you end up losing out on money...d'oh! Oh well, you live and learn I suppose...
I'll probably end up ordering another Aero A2 at some point in the near future...I had a 15142, but found the sleeves much too baggy, shoulders a smidgeon too narrow and the length just too short. It just didn't work on my body at all.
The 38-1711 contract seems to be regarded as the slimmest...
Yeah, I do like a trim fit on my jackets but after wearing it for a whole day yesterday I just felt like I could do with an extra inch here and there, particularly in the shoulders and on the sleeve length slightly. It needs to be comfortable when moving about - I learned that lesson from my...
Selling my essentially brand new Pike Brothers B-15 - wore it once yesterday and decided I would really need a size XL. Unfortunately I'd already removed the tags so I can't return it. Really just looking to get back what I paid give or take a few quid.
Awesome, awesome jacket. Really well...
Okay, so the back length is approximately 25.75 inches and the sleeve length is 26 inches - both much shorter than I would dare order in a leather jacket, but I think this is because cloth drapes differently.
The thing is...after having worn this jacket for a good day...now I'm not so sure if...
Thanks! It's definitely worth the money, I can highly recommend it. :) Gale force winds and weather in the North West today and it's performed admirably so far!
