Negative comments about your jackets from others

I think a lot of Flusser's advice when it comes to proportion and cut is pretty much bang on, although strangely he himself never seems to look good - like he gave up following his own rules decades ago. Or he just got fat, I'm not sure. This reminds me a lot of all the groupthink over at...

Negative comments about your jackets from others

To my complete surprise, we ended up having a look through some jackets tonight together! I think she felt a little bit guilty about how she reacted to some of my other jackets - not that she knows about this thread... Well, she's still not a massive fan of the A2, but she loved the Eastman...

A plea for help in choosing a sheepskin jacket

This would be my vote for the B6 and D1 as well. The B6 in particular has such a lot of shape in the design that it looks remarkably contemporary fit wise.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

I could never, ever wear what you have on - but I'll be damned if you don't look like an absolute badass wearing that outfit. Suits you down to a tee!

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

That's a great looking fit you have there. Really nice looking jacket! I think the good think about the M422/G-1 design is that it still looks good, even if the jacket measures slightly bigger than you'd normally wear...the high armholes, slim waist and half belt all make it look sleek. The cut...

Negative comments about your jackets from others

Hang on, are you saying that women don't find the whole vintage look sexy? Now you tell me...I've been wearing a Mae West and an oxygen mask with all my jackets for the past month...

New Eastman B-15 - great trip to the London pop up shop!

Very true. I think part of the problem is that I realised I had spent £500 on a cloth jacket...which kind of seems daft really. However, I’m not denying that it’s a beautifully made, very faithful repro. It’s also super comfy, although the waistband is extraordinarily tightly knitted; as such...

New Eastman B-15 - great trip to the London pop up shop!

Dang it, I've decided to hold on this jacket for now. I may as well see how much wear I get out of it before deciding to sell it - I should give it a chance I guess!

New Eastman B-15 - great trip to the London pop up shop!

When I was at the store, I tried on everything they had. Two jackets that stood out were the Rough Wear B6 - absolutely unbelievable, I would order one in a heartbeat even though I already have an Aero B6 - and the G1, which was simply awesome.

New Eastman B-15 - great trip to the London pop up shop!

Well, this lasted long. Up for sale in the classifieds. http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/for-sale-eastman-b-15-basically-brand-new-46r-end-zone-twill.92200/ Sigh...after all my previous stuff with the Pike Bros version and finally being able to acquire one of these, I have to be honest...

    MA-1 Flight jacket

I never have any luck finding vintage ones over here either, particularly in larger sizes. Everyone says originals are really cheap...but I never have any luck! I'm not too fussed about these nylon jackets, and as such would be more than happy to settle for a more generic version from the high...

For Sale: Eastman B-15, Basically Brand New, 46R, End Zone Twill

Well, this one lasted long LOL. Purchased from the Eastman pop up shop last week - I feel almost guilty for listing this so soon. If nobody takes it, I'll keep it, but I thought I would offer it to you guys anyway. It's a superb jacket in every way...but after a lot of soul searching, I'm just...

Flight Apparel Industries G1 - Opinions?

That looks really, really nice @pjman. Thank you for sharing the photos! I just bought the G1 I linked to earlier in this thread for what I feel was a fair price based on its condition. I think it's either earlier or later than your version, but the fit on yours looks spot on the quality seems...

A plea for help in choosing a sheepskin jacket

Ah! It was you I was remembering! :D Your B3 looks awesome, and doesn't look that visually different to the standard one. You can't really tell it has the 1/2 inch fleece from looking at it. If I were to order a B3 or ANJ4, I would certainly do the same :)

A plea for help in choosing a sheepskin jacket

Always good to try as much stuff on as you can! Good plan. I don't know 100% that they would make an ANJ-4 out of the 1/2 inch fleece, but I'm sure I read around these parts that somebody had done it...still, the normal ANJ-4 is awesome anyway. :)

A plea for help in choosing a sheepskin jacket

I should also point out that the D1 is quite a short jacket to begin with, so a custom made Aero, for instance, would look more in proportion. I'm 6'3 and I chose the B6 because of it's longer fit - scaled up to my size, it looks just right. I'm sure the D1 would do the same for you!

A plea for help in choosing a sheepskin jacket

I tried on that same Irvin last week, and whilst it's very badass (it looks super cool on you!), I could never ever imagine myself wearing it. These aren't really practical jackets to begin with - I found the belt to be really annoying, the lack of pockets frustrating, and the general feeling...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Just picked up a very nice looking Flight Apparel Industries G1 off eBay for about £150. Not an exact repro, but has all the correect details and looks to be in very good condition. Plus, the collar is shaped more like one you'd see on an M422a which is a bit different.

Wanted: Eastman Redskin B-6 Rough Wear (46L/46XL)

I doubt anybody has one of these, but if you've got an Eastman Redskin B6 you're looking to move on, then get in touch. I'd need a 46 long or extra long having tried one in their store. I'd consider a 44 L / XL too. Cheers!
