    Cross zip nation

Was wondering if any of you can tell me who made this cross zip. Pretty hefty leather, well worn needing some repair and new lining. Main zip is serval, sleeves are NYNCO.

Super cool and different Excelled I’ve never seen one like it before. Is it button cuff?

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

After a second look I think you’re right. I didn’t pay close attention because of the knit waistband but sleeve zippers are not too impressively done.

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

An unusual Sears Oakbrook at least a style I’ve not seen before. I’m not a fan of rib knit cuffs/waistband but this has got some cool sleeve zippers with cinch closure. I suspect it to be a Canadian Sears...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I feel your pain. I watched that one for awhile even thru out a lowball offer as I knew it would probably be way too small. What was the actual pit-pit? She listed 20.5” and 21.25”. Truly a fine looking unique vintage piece even if you can only pull it out of the closet once in awhile to admire.

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

The other jacket I was keenly watching and dealing with the seller on was this Hercules. So after @ton312 bought the Albert Richard I decided I had no choice but to buy the Hercules…kinda had a duty or responsibility to do so, something like that.

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Great jacket, I love it, besides being quality built Albert Richard labels are so cool. Been watching, dealing with the seller for a bit but never could get her to upload a pic with measurements. Her measurements were pretty iffy but I was pretty sure it’d be too small for my 44 size. Guess if I...

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

German Horsehide with matching kidney belt. Not listed at a bargain price but seller has sent me 50% off offer. I’ve bought from him and he will deal. If this was a bit larger I probably wouldn’t be sharing...

A Made-in-Japan Excelled Racer: I need some context here...

My assumption of a Sears Oakbrook D-pocket in disguise was definitely incorrect. It seems to have styling cues influenced by the Sears Oakbrook design right down to the black corduroy trim. The D-Pocket its self is completely different. I did find another exact same build of jacket but...

What Are the Most Popular Leather Jacket Brands on TFL?

I’ll step up to represent the underdogs. All mine are vintage, nary a youngster amongst em and all are pretty much fellers from the poor side of town. 1. 5 Sears - Oakbrook, Fieldmaster 2. 3 Fidelity - USA made 2. 3 Lesco 2. 3 Montgomery Ward 3. 2 Brooks With the rest of the herd made up...

Pick up a jacket in Portland or. Help needed

I'm in Arizona but if there's not someone in Oregon or someone else closer who can help you out I'll be glad to do so if he will ship to me in AZ. As far as trusted, I guess you could ask one of my grandkids I'm pretty sure they'll vouch for me. They think I'm the best Papa in the world.

A Made-in-Japan Excelled Racer: I need some context here...

After awhile it did become one of those itches I just had to scratch. Plus at such a reasonable price “I couldn’t afford not to buy it”. I’ve never got my wife to fall for that line. but I know you Brethren of Vintage Outerwear know exactly what I’m talking about.

A Made-in-Japan Excelled Racer: I need some context here...

I'm probably the least knowledgeable person I know. I have owned a few vintage Excelled jackets and seen listings for dozens if not hundreds of others but these are the only made in Japan labels I've seen and I've never seen an Excelled D-pocket before. I'm not suggesting them to be rare or...

A Made-in-Japan Excelled Racer: I need some context here...

What an interesting coincidence for you to post this jacket. I just purchased this “Excelled made in Japan” myself last night, hasn’t even shipped yet. To my eye this is obviously a Sears Oakbrook D-pocket or one built to imitate it. I assumed someone just put the label on. Bartered back and...
