    1960's reversible tweed Lawman coats

I'm about 99% sure that Dinerman's coat was made by Invertere of Newton Abbot down here in Devon, which closed a few years ago.

    Aero Premier 1930s Highwayman

Btw, Craig, is that a Hudson minus chest pockets behind you in the first pic?

New Lost Worlds Offering: Speed Demon

Quite funny that he lauds the invented Brando character in Rebel (invented by a highly cynical Hollywood studio system, no less) over the punks, who were actual people doing real things - at least at the beginning. Oh, well...

    Massive hairy goat coat!

Brings this William Orpen (First World War artist) self-portrait to mind:

Repro 1930s Sears Original Hercules jackets; whose is best?

Good point. I haven't, personally. In fact I don't like scrupulous reproductions of this style because I don't really like the way the lower front panels point downwards below the level of the back hem. Btw, here's a link to the jacket BK seem to be inspired by...

Repro 1930s Sears Original Hercules jackets; whose is best?

I went for the BK. My Greek ancestry did NOT sway me in any way... Seriously, I love the fact that BK did a straight-down-the-line repro of one particular jacket, pictures of which I have been gazing at online for several years. The other two jackets are excellent, don't get me wrong, but...

Buyer's Remorse or "What do we do with our failures?"

I've got a horrible feeling that I'm more a 'thrill of the chase' guy and that I may never actually be satisfied. I flip most of my acquisitions very quickly - too quickly, probably. I really ought to live with them for a bit to see if they're better than I think they are but... Anyway, this...

    Leather munitions jacket???

The leather jerkins are useful but the round collars make them uncomfortable to work in as they tend to dig into the throat. I like Edward's idea of a v-collar. Not sure if today's Sting likes to dress up as a coal man, so I reckon you'd be safe, Edward!

    Leather munitions jacket???

It's the Royal Dutch Airforce in Belgium, 1944/45. Could the clogs have been an esprit de corps thing for Dutch servicemen (who'd been in exile for a few years by then)?

New Aero Premium Slim Fit 1930's Half Belt

The Canuck has a much simpler back construction, i.e. isn't a half-belt. This looks great but I wish they'd kept the length of the original. Does this, perhaps, look a bit too much like the Maxwell et al? Nevertheless I'm tempted. Vicenza hide and a different lining, perhaps...

    A horse is a horse?

It should depend on the tanning and how much they split off the leather - this process was explained to me by a local tanner the other day.

    Dating Vintage Leather Jacket

First it's dating, then it gets serious... I have a jacket by that maker (with that exact lining, in fact) and I think it's late 40s/early 50s.

Can you please recommend a jacket for me?

Check out Norshor. The NS2 looks right up your street. https://www.facebook.com/NorshorLeather/photos/a.462805760526325.1073741855.273183072821929/462805843859650/?type=1&theater

Some perspective on leather jacket pricing?

Ex-mods... Even approaching my 50th birthday I still find this rings true. Back in that fondly remembered day, we had a crowd with whom we could obsessively dissect jean turn-ups, hem lengths, collars, leather types. These days the FL fulfils that role for me - FL and the few friends I have in...

    Sizing opinion plz

I would say the one on the left fits as it should - i.e. Ramones 1976. If you get both, it'll probably be the one you sell first, though...

    Aero J106 - Too big?

I hate to add negativity but the fit around the waist would be a deal-breaker for me. I can't stand a gap between my waist and a jacket. Otherwise, spectacular item.

    Good Companion leather jacket?

What a beauty. Late 50s, early 60s? Sort of equivalent to a Lewis Leathers Corsair (1962) but nicer. Congrats!
