Quite funny that he lauds the invented Brando character in Rebel (invented by a highly cynical Hollywood studio system, no less) over the punks, who were actual people doing real things - at least at the beginning. Oh, well...
Good point. I haven't, personally. In fact I don't like scrupulous reproductions of this style because I don't really like the way the lower front panels point downwards below the level of the back hem.
Btw, here's a link to the jacket BK seem to be inspired by...
I went for the BK. My Greek ancestry did NOT sway me in any way... Seriously, I love the fact that BK did a straight-down-the-line repro of one particular jacket, pictures of which I have been gazing at online for several years. The other two jackets are excellent, don't get me wrong, but...
I've got a horrible feeling that I'm more a 'thrill of the chase' guy and that I may never actually be satisfied. I flip most of my acquisitions very quickly - too quickly, probably. I really ought to live with them for a bit to see if they're better than I think they are but... Anyway, this...

Ex-mods... Even approaching my 50th birthday I still find this rings true. Back in that fondly remembered day, we had a crowd with whom we could obsessively dissect jean turn-ups, hem lengths, collars, leather types. These days the FL fulfils that role for me - FL and the few friends I have in...
I hate to add negativity but the fit around the waist would be a deal-breaker for me. I can't stand a gap between my waist and a jacket. Otherwise, spectacular item.
