That's part of the fun .... you get lots of jackets to try ( I like buying and selling :D)
2 years wait for one jacket ....... I struggle with 6 months for a car ..... and I'd probably only keep it for a year or two ( the longest I've ever had a repro jacket is 12 years and I've just sold it...
Beautiful jacket ... but 2 years wait ... man I'd have given up at 2 months :(
Kudos to you for your patience ..... after that wait I hope it's everything you want ( given JC's work I'm sure it will be !)
2nd hand is the only way I'm ever gonna own a Goodwear :D
Mine ( Beckmans) are a US 9D which is a UK 8 and a Euro 42 .... which is a 1/2 size down from my normal shoe size for a Trickers boot ( 8.5 Eu42.5 ) and a loake shoe. The same applies to Wolverine 1000mile boots where I wear a 9D UK 8 Eur 42.

Don't even think nthey'd have to sub-contract .. I've got horsehide bike jeans from Aero and the pattern isn't too bad ( although I needed zips fitted to accomodate my bike boots) but they're not far off a good jean pattern and have all the tools ........ :D
With jeans "fit" is the key ... they need to fit how you like them ..... I find this a MUCH more fit orientated decision than a jacket for example where an inch either way usually doesn't bother me .... but in jeans, i'd never wear them.
I only ever had one pair of really heavy Iron Hearts (...
Got 3 :D
2 alphas ( Black and Olive) and an olive original ( all with liners ) a GREAT winter jacket ... fi is a little on the large side ( even the 1970's original ) .... all of mine are "Large".
Plus side
- Nice and warm and can be washed in the washing machine on a 40 deg wash

Great jacket and a hide very reminisent of A2 HH used by JC and others.
So good to see other high quality hides on jackets especially of a more pliable nature ..... I love Horween hide in M/C or "utility" jackets which I am going to throw around and treat like utility wear ... but these...
next my Aero AN6552
which is IDENTICAL to the nearest 1/4" in size to the Bill Kelso although the Bill Kelso is a 44" ( 1" off the arms) and the Aero is a 46" (with 1" off the arms)
For the record I LOVE how they fit and wear them often ..... despite what the vocal few on here...
Two of mine ( my only two G-1 style jackets ) ... both of which were slated on here as being so big " you could fit a space suit under them" ... it would appear that I don't like the skin tight, too short fit that current FL Fashion trends require ... anyway ....
The first my Bill Kelso M422a
I'd go with the first one TBH ... especially if layering is a requirement ( which in Scotland it is) .... but then I'm not overly fond of tight leather jackets with short body and arms ( as Sloanie well knows). The first one fits like a bike jacket should ... the cafe racer is a bike jacket...
Looks good man ... I really like the route 66 ...... and it suits you. Lining looks cool as well.
Wear it how you like it man ... fit is a subjective term and as much a feature of the current trend / fashion as anything. If it's too tight / loose youll never wear it so get it how you like it...
Have to say I have a couple of pairs of Beckmans and would echo Peter's comments on Comfi-ness ..... I have to say I only wear thicker socvks with mine ( Smartwool Hiker light) and I'd suggest going down that route before yo go the insole route ..... thin socks and boots for me just don't work...
useful post craig .. but not as useful as it would be with pictures ( of the jackets ... not nesessarily your other half trying them on ... although that wouldn't do any harm either and would give an idea of the difference in fit compared to say the board track racer ( which is essentially a...
I think Sloanie already posted it Fanch .. agreed on the fit thing though :)
I wonder if BK or Johnsons or any of the others have produced any "female friendly" leathers. I suspect that those happy to accomodate a fair amount of customisation would be better suited to supply. I get the...
I bought my missus a 34" Highwayman in 2003 and it went doen like a lead zeppelin and fitted like a tent .... I then bought her a neat fitting 36" cafe racer in 2005 again it went down like a concrete bi-plane ..... sleeves were too long and overall it wasn't cut for the female form.
In...
:D well you should :) Schitzo .... you're heading down the same road mon ami :)
I'm down to 16 in the collection ..... and only 3 Aero's and 2 Eastmans ( not counting the two I have for sale currently ) .... every time I get rid of a few I seem to find some others that I like :)
Monitor...
I have to say Superfluous that that hasn't been my experience .... they both pretty much micrometer up identicaly at around 3.5oz equiv. ( I have had both Aero jackets in CXL Steer and Horse ) .... my experience of over 80 repro jackets ( 8 from Alexanders, 33 from Aero in Horween hides) that...
