They have a stunning green one from the 60’s hanging from the rafters. I think most of their colors are too bright. The new grey ones are too bright for my tastes. This one is from 89, so it is nice honest patina, or what Grant Peterson from Rivendell Bicycle Conpany would call beausage...
I recently sold two leather jackets and I have a few more on the chopping block so I decided to swing by Langlitz on Friday. Hanging in their used rack was a super cool grey jacket that had a new lining. I thought it looked great and it fit nicely, but I figured I’d wait a few days to see if...
I brought my Langlitz in for them to add the snaps for a collar of theirs that I already had, and they suggested I get my liner around the neck fixed as it was torn in a few spots. I gotta say, I dig their approach to repairs. While the jacket was in, I ended up getting a new zipper as the...
My recent Langlitz find had a shearling collar that I wanted to see if it would fit on my old yard sale Langlitz. I dropped off the collar and the jacket and around a week and half later I was able to pick it up. They informed me that my main zipper was going, so I opted to have that replaced...
When Langlitz patched my sleeve, they also replaced the wrist zipper and gusset, gusset was toast, and threw in the patches for free. They will need to pop the lining stitches to repair the patch.
I just had some repairs done at Langlitz. The main zipper should be around $100 and they can repair the hole, though it might looks something like this repair.
I know this is an old thread, but the XL stands for 1" longer in the sleeve(X) and 1" longer in the body(L). At least that is what Scott at Langlitz told me when I asked about my 44XXL labeled jacket.
I found this older jacket on CL in Spokane earlier this year and had a family member pick it up and mail it to me. Fit is nice, though it feels about 1/3 the weight of my 10 year old Vanson.
Just thought I’d share it before it finds a new home.
I think this is a Lesco, though I’m not sure. I bought this 10/15 years ago for $35 at a thrift store. At one point it fit nicely, but that was 30lbs ago. I love the color and the feel of the leather on this jacket. Any ideas?
the only pics I could find on my computer. My 1983 Volvo 245 Turbo in the background with my 2003 C240 wagon in front. My original and in need of some love 1948 Chevy 5 window is outside of the frame to the left.
Here is my 1993 BMW K75rt and while I don't have a pic, I also have a 1972...
Here is one I picked up last week. Hefty goat.
The repairs, new main zipper and wrist zipper/gussets, will cost just around double what I paid, luckily I didn’t pay much.
from my little bit of research, these are not “serious” jackets though the earlier ones are favored higher than the mall variety. I found this today at a vintage mall, it was priced right, fits nice, made in USA and of goatskin. It has an EMAR labeled zipper and scovill snaps if that helps...
I have a sneaking suspicion that I know this jacket. I think I bought it at a pawnshop around 6 years ago, though it did not have the collar at that point. If I recall, I paid $90 for it and sold it for $600. The reason I believe this is the same jacket as I had Langlitz make a small...
