One caveat, Gary's Sand colored Mink/beaver is still my favorites of all. It is light as a feather and the "scratch" finish and color, just amaze me. -

In the book: The Cowboy Hat Book it says that the hat is greased to give a shinier finish to the felt? I believe it is either done during the pouncing or after the pouncing. What exactly IS grease, in this case? Can anyone elaborate on this? -

Does anyone know what happens when the brim on a straw hat is cut to a lesser brim width? Other than being shorter, does the edge look like the original edge? Does it look worse? Does it start to fall apart? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks my friends in advance....Dennis -
