    UPDATE! It seems that despite the tag this shirt isn't denim, as it's not a twill weave. I think that my initial suspicion that this is very sturdy linen was correct!

    OTOH... a jacket like this really is a lifetime purchase. You could wear in every day for the next 30 years.... and if you did a jacket that would grow old with you and be your faithful companion through many adventures would end up being one of the cheapest per wear items you'd own!
