The only hand stitched bespoke shoo you will probably ever see made in Australia. lt is made by an old timer at home who is considered the states best cordwainer in the last 60 years. No man in Victoria has had such a shoo made to such a level in at least the last 60 years, probably much longer...
A one off shoo that will never be made in Australia ever again, a goodyear welted bespoke shoo. Not only will such a pair ever be made in Oz again, but it is quite likely that no goodyear welted shoos have ever been made bespoke in Oz...bespoke and the factory mentality doesn't match. This was a...
The soles of the only bespoke goodyear welted shoe to be made in this day and age in Australia. lt was a trial shoe, but l ended up ditching the project and starting again because the last wasn't to my liking, so my shoemaker ended up doing a gunboat style to suit the last. Mr X couldn't close...
Some shoos l photographed at a shoe suppliers place a couple of years ago:
1880's boots. Actually has the finest leather l have ever seen, blows away anything l have seen on highend shoos, even surpasses bespoke leather quality on some of the great makers like George Materna and Vass...

Would appreciate it very much if you could make something happen.
Regards: The Shooman

l was speaking to an old shoemaker friend (Mr X) tonight about this very subject, and l have spoken to my father about Raoul Merton shoes because he was an old customer because of them advertised on t.v by the late Graham Kennedy. While my dad couldn't really say much about them, he did say that...
Repairing the lining is one of the hardest things possible for a factory to do with goodyear welted shoes, almost impossible considering the time it would take and the special extra handwork needed to do such extensive work. Even if AE had the special skill to carry out the job, the cost of the...
The shoes are very decent shoes and well worth the price paid for them. Will they last a lifetime?...well it depends on lots of factors. For some people with a good rotation of shoes, they might last forever. For other people who are hard on shoes and wear them everyday, they might only last 3...
