I once photo-copied a picture of the jacket I was ordering and wrote detailed measurements in various areas of the jacket photo so that it was nearly a builder's blueprint of the jacket I wanted and exactly where I was measuring from/to with precise start and end points on the jacket.
Totally...
Cool jacket Zaten. It's a good design that can be worn on a variety of occasions, from t-shirt and jeans casual to khakis and button-down shirt semi-formal. Wear it in good health....and welcome to the exalted status of "contributing member". :p:D
@Hypoxic you're more than welcome here in the friendly Big Apple! A city of 8 million all coexesisting in (mostly) peace and harmony.
Yes, I'm a ferry boat captain in NY harbor. Between 28 years as a licensed merchant marine officer while simultaneously putting in 26 years of Navy/Navy Reserve...
For the record, I'm not trying to hijack this thread first posted by @Hypoxic. Just wanted to augment his post with my G-8 purchase for maximum info sharing. I give full credit to @Hypoxic for getting me to pull the trigger on a jacket I've eyeballed for a long time. This US A G-8 is already a...
Ok @Seb Lucas as soon as I get a chance I'll have my wife snap a photo of the back. And I totally agree with you; the G-8 back design is nicer than the Indy.
I thought I once read on the BK Facebook page that they do free alterations? It might be worth a shot to ask them about a re-make or if an alteration of the length of this particular jacket is possible. Just a thought

Ok, ok, I admit it; after reading this post and seeing the photos, I decided I just HAD to have a U.S. Authentic G-8. I opted for their standard mid-brown goatskin with an extra inch in sleeve & body length. The goatskin has some great sheen and luster (nothing like their rather bland website...
You can also ask Steve Sellers (Greatest Generation Clothing Co.) if he will swap out the mouton fur. Steve does great custom work (his repro M-422a jackets are sweet!) and has access to some really awesome red/rust brown mouton which would look amazing on a 100-mission G-1.
I think if we all had to survive in some futuristic post-apocalyptic dystopian hell hole, FQHH or some super heavy Lost Worlds HH is the way to go. You wouldn't have a closet full of light, medium and heavyweight leather jackets to choose from; in fact, you wouldn't even have a closet! Just the...
BUMP... final price reduction for any TFL member will be $475. It's listed on the bay for $499 buy it now. Great deal on a fabulous jacket. Thanks for looking.
