Yep -= 100% agree. Ask me about my collection (of 2) Down filled parkas. Haven't used either rf them in ~ 3 years except one week in December alst year when it got to -15F the week prior to Christmas with 40 mph winds. It makes a lot more sense to me now! I appreciate Marc bringing this to light as he did! Hope you can do his suggested repair. I can also see the frustration. ^^ This does not look too bad to me, like you say maybe just the loop itself, but start messing with the hem of that J24 and you may be asking for more problems that you want to deal with. ^^ It's less "large" to me now, as I have a Langlitz or two that are similar in size. Sweatshirts fit under this no issue. Having the belt back allows me to snug it down and I could certainly tighten up the side laces. On edit - I just tightened up those side laces and it transformed the fit...- AeroFan_07

Should I get rid of the following jackets?
You're wearing a hoodie under it. I personally think it's fine that way, but with a t-shirt or button up shirt it'll be a little large. Not that I care that much personally. I have 2 recent acquisitions that are larger than they should be for the "ideal FL fit" but I am not an ideal shape...- AeroFan_07

Took a minute to enjoy an Ironic shot here, it's only about 89F (31C) headed to 99F (37C) today. So the Padded Columbia and the wool hat will not be staying on. Jacket will be wonderful in a few months with a couple layers underneath.- AeroFan_07

Honestly, I think you are over-thinking this process. First, go somewhere where you can try on several styles and models of jackets. If in Europe, you could go to Aero directly. If in the US, try a Schott store, Vanson, Johnson's, Langlitz, even Fox Creek. Go and see what works for you...- AeroFan_07
