How about Raw, un-finished and un-washed Levi's 501's; under $55.00 a pair...?
If you're a 36Wx34L I have a new pair with tags still on them I would sell you.
They look just like these...
^^+1 to all he said
Stick with Johnson's in San Francisco, support a family run shop - and they will make it for you as you desire.
Their website is no reflection at all of the goods they make, FYI
Welcome to FL!
It also kind of reminds me of some '90's style Gap jackets. Not sure what size you want but this one is rather similar to the photo above, less the line across the chest. Looks pretty decent, this one in an XL, however the price is a bit high in my opinion...
^^ Wow! Forgot about that band. I never could do that baggy a jeans, (growing up on a farm and working around equipment all the time makes you appreciate a fairly close fit). But yeah, the 90's were the era of baggy...
I'm boring when it comes to pants I wear with leather jackets. Mostly...
Not knowing your size/height/weight and not being able to see any photos seriously limits people's ability to assist. Need a little more than just chest size. Arm length is also quite important as well as waist.
If using a Windows-based PC, use your Windows Accessories "snipping tool" to crop...
^^ Very interesting. Looks perfect for riding in a saddle all day, and probably more comfortable/durable in the saddle than jeans + chaps. Who makes them and what's the details on these Monitor?
As to the question of "how" - I know not firsthand how you would manage wearing these frequently...
Navetsea - I agree. I was honestly thinking I would have Johnson's re-use those - however I paid $300 for this jacket [Need Head examination - please...] Had I paid more like $25- 50 I may have had them simply take that jacket apart and take all the still good hardware and install it into the...
^^ Overall I'm likely not going with much more "actual vintage" unless it can be verified a little more. My size and length makes anything vintage a really difficult fit in the first place.
And yes, had this have been a $25 - 50 jacket I would have sent it to Johnson's and be re-made. I could...
New thread idea here, Add to this thread - what jackets had you really hoped would work out - but did not...?
I'll start off as follows...since I found a neat "un-branded" vintage jacket that looked to be my size, and was unique enough I toyed with the idea of having it re-made. Then it...
^^ Great price on a Hein Gericke. These are highly under-rated jackets for sure!
I had a $25 HG quite a few years back that I lent to a friend who had newly gotten a motorcycle. About a year after I asked if he still needed the jacket, and he offered me $100 for it...I didn't have the heart...
I roll Carhartt for hoodies. No big surprise there, I'm in Iowa and was raised on a farm in Illinois.
I have also had good success with a Milwaukee-branded all cotton hoodie.
Also poly & cotton hoodies from Wheaton and Illinois, the two colleges I attended; often by Champion and Under Armor...
Thanks Monitor! I am reminded of your request a while back for a jacket with lots of unique features and a little "crazy." Well this one does not feel crazy at all to me and I do have an order in for one too, so I may just have it "padded" as well. It's just a really nice feature.
