Thanks! Just had to. Reading up on some history of the Adam company gave me even more of a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
Yes, felt looks great and hope to get it restored as I need a brown one.
Just picked this one up on the Bay from a great seller for $16 ($11 hat + $5 shipping)
Adam Premier Executive. It is my size, I'm thinking I can send it to Art to have it redone.
Does anyone know of a good website or store that sells pants without the belt loops and with only the suspender buttons?
I don't want to take my belt loops off on some of them. I do search the bay and only managed to find one but it came with my suit like that and the others have belt loops on...
I'm lucky that it's under 7 but not that lucky...
But I think he looks great in both the Borough and the Wells. The bound edge gives it a dressier look.
I like that he's trying them on first to see what he likes and thinks looks good.
Vintage is the way to go if you don't want to spend too much.
Thanks Rodney!
Whoever previously owned it really took care of it. Probably be wearing it memorial day weekend out with the family.
Tailor I take it to only charging me $22 for sleeves and $9 for hemming trousers. They do solid work.
Oh yes I would wear it, it looks great to me. Reminds me of the suits from the movie Tough Guys 1986 (Kirk Douglas & Burt Lancaster) or even American Psycho with Christian Bale that took place in the 80s, wide lapels were still in.
I think with my VS custom and wingtips it would look perfect...
What do you guys prefer?
I wear em both but I'm liking pleated with cuffs more for some reason.
Is one more vintage than the other? I don't really follow what's trending and could care less. I'd rather look more vintage than what's in style at the moment.
Granite
Got my VS yesterday.
Thank you Art, I was amazed when I held it. Fits like a glove. Loving the high crown. Not sure if I should keep the beard, what do you think?
What craftsmanship, can't wait to get another.
Thanks!
I can tell they are addictive. I read about the gentleman who has about 42 of them. There must be something amazing about them if you have that many.
