Anyone else having this wonderful experience of waiting and waiting for your package?
This is about the sixth item in the past month where it takes 6x longer to receive package. Researched this and it has been going on for sometime now.
Does anyone know if they will ever be back to normal?
Exactly, wardrobe is an investment. Clothes that last many years, natural fabrics. Leather soles. What's the point of buying something if you are going to have to throw it away quick.

This used to be my dad's. Made in 1977 as shown in the tag, he hardly wore it and he has no need for it so he gave it to me. Hope it gets really cold this winter so It can see some use. It is almost in mint condition, a seam coming loose in the armpit lining, but not too bad for almost 40 years...
I'll do the panamas if it is 95-100+F, the humidity is Brutal here in Houston. I do prefer the felts but sometimes it is too hot down here.
But I am glad i'm getting a lightweight one for all year, especially the silverbelly since It can go with just about anything. I will whip out the dress VS...
Confirmed with Art yesterday that I'm going with the lightweight one. It was a tough choice but I read lots of good things and I would also want to wear it all year round not being limited to only a panama.

One would assume since the collars are larger than modern ones. I believe the 70's were a comeback of the 1930's collars but with more selection of colors and designs. If the spread is minimum it will work. Not sure if all 1970's collars will have minimum spread, maybe someone else can chime in...
Not sure when it will, but I do hope the "hipster hat" goes away soon. I also agree I would get professionally fitted for a hat, they get all their suits fitted, why not the hat. Maybe it will take a younger celeb wearing the real deal to get others wearing it.
Ok I will give it a shot, how hard can it be right? What about the flange? how can I restore the flange in the back to the way it was? or is that something that requires some hatter tools?
Waiting for these to arrive today or tomorrow. Not vintage but vintage inspired. Johnston & Murphy off the bay. Saw some actual 40's Florshiem ones but it was too late as I bought these already. Can these be worn in the Fall?
