    About tweed suits...

Many establishments have it to where it is warm to even wear a long sleeve shirt and under shirt at times. In my work place they are always leaving the shipping doors open on the first floor so it gets cold quick down where I work. I have to bring a sweater vest or pull over. 100% agree, clothes...

    About tweed suits...

Yea the tweed is definitely warm for indoors. If you were outside all day in 30-40F degree weather, im from Texas so thats cold to me, it would be great. Yes the wool tweed is a tough weave and can take a beating.

    Movie hats

Yea! That one caught my attention. I wonder who made all these hats for the film. Tim Burton knew what he was doing when he was making this.

Over the weekend I re-watched the 1989 Batman film due to Jack Nicholson's acting and since I had not seen it in a long time ~10 years. Amazed on all the cool hats that came out in the film. Just about everyone is hatted up in this. Just thought I would share this, It's not a golden era film...

    About tweed suits...

All I've got is from my experience is get 100% wool. On short notice and lack of luggage space all I had one rainy cold day was a wool fully lined tweed jacket. Popped the collar up to break the wind, along with a flat cap it not only looked but felt great. It did the job keeping me warm. Get...

Art Fawcett VS Hall of Fame

Thanks for clearing that up about the ribbon contrast. I have actually gotten quite a few compliments on it. I owe it to Art for crafting such a beautiful hat that is very robust and durable. The next one I have in mind is a blue smoke.

Art Fawcett VS Hall of Fame

I think the ribbon throws me off, its like a gray on another gray, but that is fine. Ok, so if my granite VS is of the gray family, then it should be easier to pair with colors as you say. Might I add it does go great with my black coats. Thanks for the help.

Art Fawcett VS Hall of Fame

It just seems a bit tougher color to pull off. But weren't a lot of people in the 30s through 50s wearing hat colors that didn't even match most times?? as to purchase another hat just for color sake was a burden on their pocket book for most? Just basing it off movies I've been watching on TCM...

Powerball up to 1 billion - what tools would you buy?

Hello ladies and gentlemen, No winners last night so jackpot is estimated at 1.3 billion. Just for conversation and fantasizing, what would you buy? I'd first pay off the rest of my dreaded school loans. Help my parents with anything they needed. Then purchase a good solid house. Then onto...

    I suit therefore I am.

Costume to me at least is some article of clothing that is to replicate the original. Halloween costumes for example... sure you can dress up as a cowboy, the clothes look really cheap and thin. If you rode horses and worked on a ranch, wore the real deal as they clothes are more for functional...
