Just got an email from Allen Edmond about a new boot, "online exclusive", called First Avenue Boot. It's only offered in black but it's a real good looking boot in my humble opinion. Just wondered if anyone else saw them and what opinions you might have!!
:eusa_clap:eusa_clap MIke your hat is stunning! I'm looking forward to seeing it on your head. Congratulations sir!! Art another exceptional classic! Great work!
Alex you're exactly right my friend! I sat in a Dr's chair getting shots in my nose, then watching him whittle a basal cell carcinoma off the end of it, followed by more shots, then sitting there while he sewed it up. Yessir I'll wipe the sweat! Hat all the time, in any weather. That's my story...
:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap Great hat Lando! I agree with Alex, looks good and the color combination is exactly right. It looks great on you. I like the wide brim widths too, with my big head they just fit. Tim does some fine work, I've got two of his hats, love them both. Yours is a fine...
Thank you for the price pointer Duper, I appreciate it. Sam has the Riverina and you're right, it is a little cheaper, but in Sand and size 62 to fit my coal bucket head, I'd have to wait 3 months. Maybe I'll do that and just use it next summer. Thanks for the reply!
I noticed a new hat at Hat's Direct, the Akubra Riverina. Color is Sand with a 102mm brim. It strikes my fancy for an outdoor hot weather sun blocking hat. I like the Sand color too. I emailed Trudi some questions about it. It's unlined so that'll make it even cooler. I also notice a Sand...
:eusa_clap:eusa_clap Great hat Lando! The moss ribbon looks good with the whiskey beaver. Tim always does a fantastic job, I've got two CRM's, really enjoy them. This hat looks great on you brother! Wear it proudly!!!
Al thanks for the color comparison! I've got a Tawny Fawn Campdraft Heritage felt I really like it, it gets a lot of wear time. Don't have a Whiskey, yet ;)! You did a great job on those crown bashes, they both look great. Did you use steam or distilled water to shape them with? Whichever you...
Keith what a wonderful memory you've made!! You'll always be thankful for this day! And Al, "It's one thing to enjoy making hats and/or caps, whether as a hobby or as a profession, but it's moments like this that truly make it worth the effort. Well done!!!", well said brother!!
Al, that is a great looking hat and it looks great on you too!! I've got two of Tim's creations, and just like you said, it is really a pleasure to work with him. His hats are a pleasure to wear too!! Wear you Cane's Creation well sir!
Rusty, great video! Thanks for posting it! And like Joao, I'd lose my head in there too! Living in south central Kentucky I'm not too far away from the shop, I'd like to get down there sometime. I don't think my little mind could take being around all that at once though!!! :p
