The newest jeans I have (which I guess you mixed up with these) are Lee 1934 131Bs. These are wide/straight legged, and pretty high-waisted. They are completely different to the cheap 101Zs that Schitz (or "w*nk*r, as we now affectionately call him:D) wears.

They look to have a very "modern" cut - "tapered from the knee to the ankle". NONE of my Lees do that.

No, I don't - I only wear 1930/50's cut Lees - but they look a lot like the pair Schitzo wears on the recent Lee 23oz thread.

The "38"s and "42"s at the beginning of A2 contract numbers generally refer to the year of manufacture, and AFAIK, there were none made in 1945, so an interesting choice of numbers.

Most won't shrink, but beware, because some do. I have a lined Levi Type II repro, made from Jap denim, which shrank a good inch in every direction when washed. Unfortunately, the lining didn't!
