Funny how that was on 6/4... and 3 weeks later I'm still waiting. On 6/4 I was told I'd be contacted when the jacket left the factory after Aero's 10-day holiday (on it's way to Aero USA, and then to me).. and nothing yet. This better be one special jacket. Am I starting to lose patience...
Decided to reread this thread (it's been a while) and came across a post about how Langlitz' leather doesn't have much grain or character to it, and how the styles are limited. I just wanted to post two pics of my Cascade to prove that comment wrong. Brand new out of the wrapping a Langlitz...
Figured I'd throw in my own Wested experience. I've owned two Indy style Westeds, one in HH and one in what they call Novapelle cowhide. After owning Langlitz and LW, I was sure that Wested's HH had to be lamb! It was thin, had no stiffness and plenty of drape. Only after calling up Gemma did...
Mark said that Aero is off on holiday this coming week, so the next shipment headed his way will be sent after they return. What's one more week, right?
I'm also a little nervous on the sizing too. My suit jacket is 44R, outdoor jacket size is a 46R (outdoor meaning Carhartt-type jackets)...
HD - Beautiful jacket, as usual. All of your jackets are awesome. Been admiring them on the VLJ for quite some time and I'm looking forward to my first Aero finally arriving.
Pertaining to asking for samples from Aero, I tried several times to no avail. Each time I asked I was told "Sure...
My Adventurebilt order took 15 months, and my Uncle's order is going on about 16 months. Great hat. I'm not an experienced fedora guy so I can't tell you it's worth the wait (because I have nothing to compare it to), but it is certainly a quality made product. As for the long wait, my last...
Beautiful jackets, guys. Milu thanks for those pics.. I have a Long Half Belt on order in vintage cordovan so I really enjoyed the quality of your pictures.
Fuad.. great pics, very cool. Awesome jacket and you can't beat a good pair of Wesco boots!

I've gotta admit that I've enjoyed this thread too. I have a Long Half Belt on order and it's currently overdue so it's good to see when others have ordered and whether they've gotten their jackets yet.
Ordered: Payment Processed Jan 21
Quoted: 8 Weeks
Ordered through Mark Moye.

Cooperson, I did pretty much the same thing with my Lost Worlds. If I sat down to watch a show in the evening, I would just sit and work the jacket the whole time. Grabbing handfulls of leather and scrunching them up over and over, scrunching the jacket into a ball, etc. Within a few nights...
HJ you make it clear in thread after thread that you dislike hearing about how people speed up the break in process of their jackets. AEH was simply posting a cute story about him and his son. To each his own... right?
AEH, funny stuff... I'd try your method when my next jacket arrives but...
Besides for my 641HH, the only other shot I've owned was their Vintage 585 which was an awesome jacket. To the best of my knowledge I doubt there was any felt in it. It had the feel of a regular leather jacket, and my 641's HH never felt quite right (part of the reason I disected it and took...
That's a beauty of a jacket! The horse looks great. I have a LW Suburban in their infamous 4+ oz HH.. beautiful leather. The fit looks great on you.. perfect for riding. The sleeves are creasing up nicely.. really looks great (how old is it?). Best of luck with it!

I'm no expert but I've read a lot about how goatskin's abrasion resistance is comparable to thicker cowhide. So you get a lighter jacket that's just as tough in a go down.
Or you can be like me and say, "Eh, I'm just riding around the corner so I don't need to wear my leathers." Doh...
I'll definitely let you know if I hear anything about the Rescue Me jacket. Another show I like is House... I believe he wears a Vanson on the show but I've seen him pictured in trash mags in what looks to be Aero.
I'm sure your firefighter buddies spend their days wanting to put out...
Hey Bud, goatskin is very popular with motorcyclists. It's lighter weight, easy break in, water repellency and toughness make it a great warm weather riding leather. In my opinion the best motorcycle leathers (cowhide, goatskin and even HH) can be had at Langlitz Leathers. My Langlitz jackets...
I know this thread is a month old but I wanted to add my two cents.. well, more like one cent. I used Obenaufs for a couple of years on my carpenter's tool belt and work boots, and the stuff worked great but I hated the stink of it. Since then I've been using Montana Pitch Blend and I'm...
