Beautiful scrambler. My brother wears a Schott textile Easy Rider that he loves for summer riding. It has armor where needed. I wear my Langlitz and although it's heavy and hot I know I'm protected (but at least I don't have to worry about 100+ temps).
Riding without proper protection...
I'm no hat expert...or even really that knowledgeable about them, but wardrobe was pretty certain it was a Borsalino. Most of the other fedoras were, and although my hat had no sweat anymore and no liner it had nearly an exact ribbon as some of the other Borsalinos. Maybe a lot of hat makers...
I've been working on Scorcese's "Boardwalk Empire" for HBO this month and just thought I'd share the fedora from my wardrobe. The show is about 1920s organized crime, so the clothes are probably what a lot of you folks enjoy.
After rummaging through lots of vintage fedoras for my outfit...
Just a question about the Highwayman.. I know a lot of guys wear them as moto jackets. Does the absence of a bi-swing back make it difficult to reach forward towards the handlebars? My experience with heavy leathers that have no bi-swing is that arm movement up and forward may be limited...
Four is the number in my closet right now. I do have additional jackets put away in the basement, but the leather jackets in my closet are: 1 for cold/winter weather, 1 lightweight for chilly weather, 2 moto jackets. They get plenty of wear over the course of the year.

Very cool jacket. Definitely a head turner being that the style is not often seen. Nice addition to the collection. What are the weight and type of leather?
Tommer
I agree.. their fqhh makes for a heavy jacket, but even so my LHB weighs in at less than both my mid and heavy weight Langlitz Cascades. My midweight Cascade is around 7.2 lb, heavyweight if I remember was closer to 8 lb, and my new LHB is a trim 7.0. Still a heavy jacket but I figured it...
Never owned one so I can't help you out there, but I did handle several at a leather shop once. I had never heard of the brand. They were pricey but the quality seemed there.. nice jackets. Didn't see any vests.

Viva la resistance!
The jacket after a few days of being worked by hand at night... and some training with la resistance!
....and one more full sun pic of the jacket front. I think this Aero nudges its way into first in front of my Langlitz for the most amazing looking brown...
Let's just hope I look as good as my Aero does in 20 years! James it was your review of the LHB on the VLJ that pushed me over the edge and made me need one. Yours is a beauty. Now I just need that Norton as my cycle doesn't match the style of the jacket!
Jack, your Herc almost made me go...
Hey guys, thanks for all the comments. And for a couple of you, in the words of Arnold... "It's not a TOOMER!" It's Tommer! ;)
Doublegun, your LHB definitely looks like tighter fitting than mine is. With that said though, I think it looks sharp. My wife said the lower half of mine...
Hey Fiver...
I don't find the storm cuffs annoying. I normally wear a Carhartt for very cold weather that also has them. I wanted this jacket for winter so the storm cuffs seemed only natural. If I was getting another Aero for motorcycle riding or fall/spring wear, I'd probably do without...
As for the fit...
As I've read about numerous times before, Aero has problems with their large arm holes. This jacket is no different than those I've read about. My LW Suburban has this same problem, but the Aero isn't quite as bad. Here's a pic to see what I mean...
The jacket really...
After a six month wait I was finally contacted by Mark Moye concerning my LHB. It was ready to be shipped and although it would cost him extra, Mark shipped the jacket via UPS so it would get here today (Friday 7/3) rather than ship it parcel post and have it arrive sometime next week. Classy...
I return home from a late night shooting Scorcese's "Boardwalk Empire" to find a package had arrived while I was working. Yes, the long awaited Long Half Belt. I'll post a full review in a new thread shortly...
Tommer
I'm really not complaining about the wait, just the lack of communication. I just think I've been spoiled by the amazing customer service of other jacket manufacturers and with Aero it's been like pulling teeth to get an accurate timeframe. If they told me 6 months right off the bat I'd be...
I try not to be a pain in the butt... I emailed after 10 weeks (because my initial quote was 8 weeks) and was told to sit tight and try to forget about it until it shows up. Then I emailed again early this month and that's when I was told it was leaving Aero on the next shipment. I know I'm...
