Love seeing new Langlitz jackets. Great looking one you got there. I had to send one of mine back to take an inch out of the sleeves as well... way more enjoyable to wear when you can't grab a handful of sleeve in your palm. Best of luck with it!
Wow, everyone needs something to complain and/or get worked up about. If a company is offering a jacket to be tried on and then returned if it's not exactly what you want... then by all means take them up on that. LouisB good luck with the jackets I hope you get one that's a definite keeper...
It was really an experiment.. I wasn't even sure it would work. I used Fiebing's Oil Dye in "dark brown"..hmm.. could have been the cordovan color actually. I really can't remember. I posted a detailed thread on this over on the VLJ a few years ago. But I used a cut up t-shirt to apply the...
Ha!! That's awesome! Pretty funny to hear. I'd even have old ladies in grocery stores telling me they liked that jacket. Unfortunately after a motorcycle accident I only ride in armored stuff now.. which are mostly textile and not leather. So both of my Langlitz jackets don't get too much...
I ordered a G&B two weeks ago without knowing anything about the sale. If it was posted anywhere on their site, I missed it. Customer service emailed me shortly after that they went ahead and gave me a 15% discount... I thought that was pretty nice of them. Saved me $100.
I really don't wear it much anymore, but I'm not sure I could ever bring myself to sell it. Maybe I can send it back to Langlitz and have them put a new collar on..hmm...
HD I've only been back a week and I already have a new jacket arriving tomorrow. Now I remember why I had to get off these forums in the first place! Hope you've been well.
Regarding the straight zip Cascade.. I used to love the short cafe-racer collar, and now I can't stand the look. I'm...
I've owned both LW and Aero and I don't think the LW can hold a candle to Aero. Aero's FQHH is amazing, and their colors in my opinion are some of the best out there.
Here's my Aero Long Half Belt in Cordovan FQHH, after years of being completely soaked through from rain and snow many...
Great review and awesome jacket! I have two Cascades and I love them both. Yours from ebay appears to fit great... looks like you lucked out. Very nice.
I have one Cascade like yours with the offset zipper, and I pretty much only wear that one for riding. I never found it too practical...
The pic of the Suburban shows the extreme of how bad it was. I don't walk around with my arms straight out, but driving a car, riding my motorcycle or simply reaching for one of the chest pockets all proved troublesome. If I reached for my steering wheel, that low armpit hole would stay put and...
Forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere in this thread, I only read a few pages of it, but the more we hang around the Fedora Lounge and the VLJ forum, the more we see new jackets and want to add more to the stable. I was in the same boat for years... I was always on the hunt for THE...
I know exactly what you mean. I've had the same problem with Aero and Lost Worlds. The only top shelf leather jackets I own that don't have this problem are my Langlitz, which are custom made to the sizes I provided. I love my Aero, but the arm holes are just cut wrong, and with the lack of...
I agree.. I had originally seen the jacket online and thought it was cool but it didn't really do it for me. But when I saw it in person (in black) I knew I had to have it, but they only had one black in stock and it was too small. They had one size left in the green version in the back and...
Barbour has joined forces several times with a designer named Tokihito Yoshida, and the results have been some really great jackets. I was lucky to land their "Tokito" Military Jacket collaboration a few years ago, and all my leathers haven't really been out of the closet since.
This jacket...
Found this thread late.. just thought I'd throw in a pic of my straight zip Cascade. I own two jackets from Langlitz and both fit me better than any other leather jackets I own...especially when sitting on a bike.
