Yeah my Aero LHB was way too heavy. Lined in wool. Too hot to wear in the fall, almost not warm enough in the winter, and just too heavy to be all that enjoyable. I put 5 years of fall/winter use into it anyway, got it some screen time on a TV show, but in the end the weight combined with...
On to the fit pics! I see that nearly all y'all on this forum like very trim fitting jackets. So you'll all probably hate the way this one fits me. But I love it. It's exactly what I wanted.
I also knew the sleeve measurement, and knew from the Bruce Willis photos and the sleeve length that...
Yes agreed! This spring I sold my beloved heavy Aero LHB, heavyweight cowhide Langlitz Cascade, and one of my Schotts. Oh yeah and my Legendary Wild Stallion (although that thing fit me like a glove). Gimme lightweight comfort now at my ripe old age of 41!
Best quote ever! Way too many grown men in sweatpants in my town. Even my 10 year old daughter brought up to me how not a single boy in school wears jeans..only sweatpants.
As for the jacket I'll have my kids take some fit pics today.
Yep...I loved the jacket in the movie but didn't need an exact replica, and didn't care about being accurate to anything vintage. I just picked the zipper pull I liked best on the BK website.
Also, I just heard back from Andy and he's processed my refund for the interior pockets and even...
I was trying to find pics of your Terminator 2...couldn't find em though.
Yeah the horsehide pebbling on mine is definitely a bit goaty. Some panels are pretty smooth.. I'm looking forward to seeing how they compare over time.
Thanks Terry! Your YouTube vids and pics on here helped me decide on the BK. So thanks for all the content! I went with the Liberty hide because I liked how yours had aged... only time will tell if it's still made to wear faster than other finishes.
Thanks guys! Good to know about the lining.. I figured there was a reason for it to be left open on the bottom...and the leatherwork and quality on the inside is just as clean as on the outside.
So, after being out of the leather jacket game for nearly a decade I decided to sell off some old, barely worn jackets. Twelve, thirteen years ago I wanted the heaviest, most badass leathers I could find. For the past few years I've gone for comfort.. wearing waxed cotton and a lightweight G-1...
No real difference in warmth. I rode all year round... would layer appropriately. I wore the straight zip Cascade both on and off the bike, and only wore the slant-zip on the bike... I never felt right wearing it as a regular jacket. Guess I never felt rock n' roll enough to pull off that...
I had a standard Cascade in dark brown heavy cowhide. It was a beast. What helps is that both my Langlitz jackets fit better than any other high end jacket I've owned...so the perfect fit helps negate some of the weight. I sold that 2007 heavy Cascade a few months ago.
Also of note... after...
Nothing so important. These pins wouldn't go on a new jacket today. The red one is an AMA pin from over a decade ago. The Cross of Lorraine, which is a symbol of French Patriotism, was on the ring that Magnum PI wore and I was a mega huge Magnum fan when I was in college. I saw the pin...
