@Mathematicus -Actually your quite accurate regarding communications. It can be difficult. I printed out photos of some Clark Gable and Jimmy Stewart suits I liked and just pointed and circled areas giving him a thumbs up or down regarding do it or not.
This is the 3rd tailor I have been to and...
He has made me a 3 piece suit with fishtail trousers as well. I would like to get my hands on some 50s fleck type material, to get some sports coats and trousers made. I have looked here but haven't had any luck.

Thanks to all. Here's another one I had made last year, I let the tailor pick the fabric and chose an amazing virgin wool, he claimed to be from Europe. Whether it was or not I love the feel of it and the drape of the material. It was the same price. He has made shirts for me as well, he does...
Hello Everyone,

Calling on all Knowledgeable Loungers,

@RJR
Thank you RJR. This hat brings back memories of my teens in rural Canada. I haven't stepped outside in Vietnam wearing it yet but I imagine I will get some looks.
There are a lot of spectacular hats here. Just received this one today via EMS while I'm in Vietnam. It's an Akubra Arena. I just love it. It's been years since I wore a cowboy hat and when I first put it on I thought holy cow thats a big brim. It's growing on me though.

Hello Everyone,

The cost was $35...

As I have posted under another thread, I just had two pairs of trousers made here in Vietnam. I am here teaching English and it's difficult to buy anything that fits let alone vintage style. To exacerbate matters I have put on some weight and am now a 36" waist. I have also...
