    Families of the Lounge

My two new grandchildren, Clayton Alexander Brown and Adeline Elizabeth Brown. The twins were born on 15 November. Clayton was 6-13 and Adeline was 6-1.

Time sure does go by fast, way too fast. I can remember when I started the first grade like it was yesterday. Now, I have a grandchild in highschool.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

I saw this hat advertised in an email I got from Village Hats the other day and decided to try it out. Email advertisements never entice me to make a purchase, but for some reason this one did. I had been looking for a lighter brown hat to go with my new medium blue suit, and when I saw this...

I'll keep a close watch on it to make sure no leaks return. We'll see what happens.

Here's a follow-up on the leak I found on the fuel pump of my '48 Plymouth. I took it to the garage the other day and they put it up on the lift. The leak was coming from around the pump, not from the pump itself. The diaphragm in the pump looks to be fine, and when everything was tightened...

Adventure! Fedora Lounge Folks in Action!

I did a little hiking this past Friday on the Ledge Trail (appropriately named) on the side of Hawksbill Mountain in the Linville Gorge. The Gorge is about 10 miles as the crow flies from where I live in Western NC.

    What are you wearing today??

This was today after church. It's a new, medium blue, wool three-piece suit. The tie is an old one that I've had for years, and the hat is one I got from Miller about 10 years ago.

Yes, going with the original blue color. Same color it's always been, just a bit faded out over all the years. :)

Thanks. I'm hopping to get everything finished with the '65 Ford by the end of next month. It's been a long (too damn long) process. It's all but imposible to find someone who will do a little body work and paint (like it should be painted) a "real" car. Shops today are used to sticking a...

Well I found the leak this evening. It's coming from the fuel pump. I can't see exactly where on the pump, but that's the source. It's a drip about once every minute. All I have are some ramps to drive up on and that gives me just barely enough room to get far enough under the car to see...

Ok, here's the latest "issue" I need some help with. I keep a pan on the floor of the garage under the front of the'48 Plymouth. It has a bit of a leak in the transmission (an issue I'll have to deal with one of these days). I keep the pan there so I can keep a check on how much oil has...

It's definitely a break squealing sound and does not require the confines of the garage to be heard. I'm inclined to believe it may be the humidity/dampness of the garage that's causing the problem. I've tried every combination of parking and driving out the driveway I can think of, and the...

Nice looking car. There's nothing better than a "Sunday drive" in an older model car.
