I've NEVER seen one, and I've been round the traps here a little bit, great thread....
Lasica's did make jackets though as well as helmets, I have a 3/4 in the shed.
In a google world there is just NO excuse http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/vintage-mens-trench-coat-/330995399136?pt=AU_VintageFashion&hash=item4d10dcf9e0&_uhb=1
People spend lots of money to buy " distressed' jackets that look like they have been worn, and you want to do the reverse? Why not sell it for more than you paid for it to someone else and buy a new one? ;)
NZ used to produce high quality fashion leather jackets as they have deer at pest levels, and naturally have a big wool industry so their vintage cold weather gear was always as good as it gets....and it seems they still have an industry http://www.nzleather.com/

Picked this up, looks genuine, but it has no Lee label on front pocket, a bit of research reveals that J.CREW re-released a version of this with a lower waist, but it has their logo on the inside..this doesn't, a 2nd perhaps..anyway looks good/fits nice...
Forgive me if this has been up before, i just saw it

I have been wearing 32x32 501's for 40 years, and the only thing I notice now is that the Bangladesh/Pakistan/China/Philippines Levi's are rubbish, and it's worth hunting up old USA or Australian made...
I'm confused, SELVAGE/SELVEDGE is just the finished edge of the fabric, and can have no effect on the broad area thereof....discussions of fabric weight, thread count etc are one thing, but what does the edge of the roll have to do with quality?
They need to be liberal with leather making jackets these days, we are usually a lot fatter than the skinny depression-fed kids who wore them originally.....
"It is interesting that this thread started by asking for advice from UK FLers, and yet the replies are now being questioned.
If your nephew is the cool dresser that you believe him to be, then he shouldn't need anyone's advice on what to wear. So why ask on here?"
The enquiry was about a BRAND...
