Another vote for Vanson Properf for hot weather riding. I picked up one of their new perforated models recently - the DRAC, basically a Drifter with perforated chest that could be zipped close from the inside. Great looking jacket, worked well in warm weather, sadly a little too small for me. A...
Very humbled to know that! By now I've amassed enough jackets that I don't wear mine as much as I should, but I've worn it quite a bit, put lots of riding miles on it, have even gone down a few times (thankfully not bad ones, mostly dirt road offs and low side slides) - knox armoured shirt...
... And here I am earlier today, weekend ride in Bhutan on my '16 Scrambler, mildly-modded. I'm wearing my Union Garage NYC X Vanson Robinson jacket, which is UGNYC's upgunned, armored take on the popular Lightweight Vanson Stormer wax cotton jacket. The Robinson makes a great riding jacket...
@bluesforchallah Here I am with my old Bonnie at Bear Mountain, NY enroute to Rhinebeck vintage bike meet some years ago. Sporting my Lost Worlds Buco Rider HH jacket.
Mods, sorry for hijacking his thread with old pics, sharing today's pic below ...
Great bikes! Thanks for sharing your pics I recently picked up a Scrambler too, last of the old generation '16 air cooled 865cc engine. Used to own an '06 Bonnie when I lived in NYC full time but stupidly let it go when I moved back to Asia. But made up for it by my recent purchase!
That seat...
Thank you!
Thanks dude! Great jacket! Hey, you're the guy with the black/white Bonnie T100 pic, right? If so, that pic is one of the reasons I've had the Vanson Comet on my radar for so long and why I finally pulled the trigger on this one. :)
Hmmm ... this might be the answer to my CR vs BR conundrum! Carrie, what's your advice on Board Racer in this back configuration - mid seam or plain like this one? Also pros and cons of that kidney panel - looks only or serves specific purpose? Thank you!
ton312 - I like those beads, pretty neat!
Edward - shrunken human heads - my late father had a story or two about his days as a young Gurkha officer patrolling the Naga Hills in the 1960s (far northeastern corner of India bordering Burma/Myanmar). Headhunting was officially outlawed but was...
Fantastic jacket! Love everything about it. I've been debating about a zip-sleeve MC-style Highwayman for a while now, but this Half-Belt hits it out of the park. Monitor is right - I might be one of those guys queuing up at Thurston / Aero with this jacket as a template. Very well done Sir!!!
That jacket looks just awesome Monitor, fits you so well too. Been considering a Schott CAF1 as the last one I tried on fit me so well - should've just picked it up back then and be done with it ... this one looks even better! Confederate Motorcycles are a very niche, limited production American...
